So MR is certified Gold in Italy and Canada. What other certifications should we expect from the single? Maybe Gold in the US after the SB??

Slumber Party is technically radio friendly too, but that doesn't mean it has potential. A song with potential would have easily done 250k+ at the Super Bowl in 2011. Also, GMAYL only reached 40m AI because it had a radio deal.

What's with the Slumber Party reference? One and only one pop girl's second  single is doing worse than Gaga and this site grabs on to it to do every comparison it can. Is this why I keep seeing posts about Slumber party? Lol

Anyways yes Slumber Party is a more radio friendly song and if Selena Gomez was singing it, it would probably be a top pop radio song. If MR was sung by Adele it would be a top radio record too. What's your point with this response. Gaga like Britney has fallen out of favor with radio. That's not going to magically change. And what do you call potential. MR has been performed at the VSFS and soon the Superbowl of it can't sell over a million copies after that it's a flop.

My point is, MR has much more potential than GMAYL and you shouldn't compare them. Also, MR probably won't reach 1m copies sold, but that isn't a bad thing in this sales climate. Starboy, one of the biggest hits of the year, just reached 1m this week. If you don't like MR, just say it, don't try and pretend people don't like it, or it doesn't have potential, because it's obvious it does.

The Slumber Party stats here are, if Im not mistaken, more of like an inside joke. We all love Britney, it's just that SB lacks something and its chart run is horrifying in a funny way. But MR isn't doing especially well either lolll let's see what happens with the SB.

Considering the situation Gaga is in with radio and streaming, I don't consider MR a flop. The singles from Britney's first self-titled era aren't flops, but they definitely had bad peaks, just because she had bad radio.

Joanne is Gaga's Bedtime Stories. It's an album with average success that serves the purpose of redeeming the artist in the eyes of the public. Even if the singles don't take off, the era has done everything it needs to, it's not like pop-rock has huge success right now anyways, especially without radio support.

Errrm, maybe you aren't aware but both "Secret" #3 and "Take A Bow" #1 (7 weeks) were huge hits on the radio and big sellers. Radio had not abandoned her at that stage in her career. It was nearly 20 years into her career that radio actively started to avoid Madonna. At least for her first couple singles from each album that is.

MR should not be struggling on radio but for whatever reason, it is.

1) Single success doesn't alone signify a successful era, Joanne is selling better than Bedtime Stories considering sales decline.

2) The reason MR isn't doing well on radio is because PI messed up radio.
