I don't think she's experienced a creative block. I just think this video is different, that's all. I totally understand why some people have this viewpoint, I mean, compared to her other works and yes, even compared to some of her live performances. It's fairly simple.

However, I feel like one of the main reasons we see this argument is because we've already seen the Apple commercial. Had we not seen it, while I still think people would be questioning her creativity, I don't think we'd nearly see as much of it.

While the production value has certainly gone down when you compare it to videos like MTN and G.U.Y., I just think this video is different, that's all. Now, is it my favorite video? Absolutely not, far from it—I do like and enjoy it, though—but you also have to remember, this video is part of a bigger picture. It'll (hopefully ) have a continuation, and I think she's really focused on the bigger picture, maybe neglecting the individual videos, in order to make a marvelous film.
