DeanWinchester 41,390
Even before the rumors of "Joanne Monster" circulated, I was thinking of the possibility of Joanne getting an EP. Why? Thematically, I legitimately feel that Joanne is not yet complete. When the album finishes playing, I get the feeling like there's more Gaga hasn't said. And that there's more to Joanne Gaga and not just Joanne the aunt. I'm waiting for that perfect tie-in between the two Joannes referenced by the album, and what moral Gaga discovered to move on from this era, and all the hurts and healing it stands for. Sonically, I think Gaga wants to explore the genres (folk/country-rock-inspired pop) and the approach (analog, use of guitar) more. I just listened to Joanne live on Alan Carr and she is amazing. Her guitar skills have been improving (I'm not saying she's an expert). The vocals were good and her emotions felt so authentic. It looked like she was really enjoying this. It doesn't make quite sense for her to explore a very different direction for just one album. So I do think it makes sense to make an EP, Joanne Angelina or something more reflective of her name. The Fame gave her success, and the Fame Monster warned her of the downfalls he was going to have. Joanne allowed her to step back and reflect on herself, Joanne the EP would be a wonderful way to achieve that full closure before moving on to her rock next era, or while she gets caught up with A Star is Born/TB+LG2 What do you guys think? He8MyHeart 9,765
The songs are so short on the album so maybe an EP was always planned. I know it's been said a million times before, but I would love to hear the RedOne songs on an EP.

Fixed I totally agree that it makes sense, and I would be down for it so hard The problem is, I don't think there's enough evidence to say that it's happening, or even get our hopes up, really. I would love it, but I still reject feeling the pain of anticipation EDIT: I don't think it really needs RedOne, either. I mean, let's face it, the work tape isn't spectacular If the songs would be good enough to make the cut, excellent, but he's not Gaga's only hope. While I would love to hear the RedOne songs, along with the Diane Warren, Elton and Rogers songs, if they're very far removed from Joanne, I'd rather they're on a separate album entirely 1 minute ago, Squeeshy Keety said: Fixed I totally agree that it makes sense, and I would be down for it so hard The problem is, I don't think there's enough evidence to say that it's happening, or even get our hopes up, really. I just really like her latest album that I want to hear just a little bit more of it before moving on to the next era. She had a duet with tony and she went on to do an entire album with him. Her jazz covers did wonders and she did so many acclaimed covers that they could almost make up an entire Lady Gaga the Covers™ album. She started trying out the guitar for Venus and she's been improving with Joanne. She did an OST for the Hunting Ground and soon she will be leading the music for ASIB. Something always spills over to another era somehow. Flyin' like a 1000 Doves
Gagadonna 10,801
It would make sense for Gaga to make a Joanne-EP if it was called "Angelina"

4thefirstIM 19
I think if Gaga releases an EP ever again, it'll have its own concept and not be a continuation a la The Fame Monster, which mostly happened because her label wanted a reissue of her already successful debut album. In recent years, she's been good about editing herself to make sure she gets less filler material in her albums and I'd hate to see her backtrack on that. (ie. Born This Way's songs were mostly 4-5+ minutes long, and the bonus edition had 17 tracks) As for the RedOne songs (as well as the collabs with Diane Warren, Elton John, Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, etc.) she probably didn't include them because they were too different from the album's vibe. Although if she wanted to make a B-side album like Carly Rae Jepsen...
