Its so hard these days trying to get more players involved in this community since many of us have left in the past years and most of them are very active too. B2W2 & XY era were awesome here I think it was a few months after the launch of ORAS that everything lost its spark (then again so did the general pokemon community). Thank Godceus for Sun & Moon

My first Pokemon era here was XY and that was awesome! I think loads of people were up for and looking forward to ORAS but I have no clue what actually happened, like even for me. Couldn't wait for the game and it came out and I loved it but it was dropped almost immediately and not revisited for some reason  Then again I think that's a general thing with remakes, you have this idea in your head of reliving the game like the first time you played it and you expect it to give you that amazing sense of magic and those high expectations and links with nostalgia make you realise that the remake isn't gonna bring your childhood back  

My most enjoyed experiences of the Pokemon games have been playing the mainline games for the first time rather than any of the remakes, like I've always quit the remakes a few gyms into the storyline

ORAS has a lot of stuff going on and it could have been SO MUCH better. The incompetence of Game Freak was somehow shown in those games. Hoenn didn't deserve such treatment I don't hate the games but I just think they could have been so much better. As for the nostalgia factor.. it totally sold me on the soundtrack   I remember hearing the revamped Route 119/120 themes for the first time almost had me in tears Then again not all of us value the music as much as the game but I sure do. 

 

And I guess you wont be here for the DP remakes in Gen 8 then ?

I'm still making that Metronome-only Battle Royale in the future tho. (fun fact: All pokemon from Pokemon RBY can learn Metronome. you can get them from the re-release in the 3DS )
