Literally there are even books on this subject. You lose power, control, mostly credibility and, in one book I read about different tribes, you're kicked out of the group if you don't have the ability to laugh at yourself, lol. Not to mention laughing is a release and the most common conversational tool. I definitely liked Gaga a lot at the beginning because she didn't care. The hermaphrodite rumor, she controlled that, and had total power over it, because she laughed about it. It made her look like some invincible Goddess. I wish she hadn't lost all that.

Well the world is aching right now.

Good music always reflects what's going on in the world.

You go through all of the rumors, lies, body shaming, disappointment, etc. that this woman goes through then we can talk about her losing it :nails:

This fanbase is enough to go into a mental breakdown. Needy little kids.

We're having an adult conversation, I think you're reading it wrong. Do you think it's not possible to discuss the implications of different moods and personality styles?

She hasnt been on humorous interviews, but at the late late show she was silly from start to finish, even had a monologue.

And silly songs? A-yo, DIC, JW, how many more you need? its just not stupid silly like her peers.

She grew up, maybe you should too

An adult conversation:sharon:

Ok. This thread is literally complaining about nothing.

Shes not as humourus in her music anymore... Cool. And so so mature.

PI Floppedt

I think because in the past years, she's come clean about her dark experiences in the industry and has had plenty of epiphanies that have rewired some of her perspective on herself and life in general?

In retrospect, she's had to deal with things like her former assistant who she thought was a close friend suing her, her engagement breaking off right before the start of the Joanne era, her hips breaking which caused a cancellation of 20+ dates of the Born This Way Ball, Perez trying to sabotage her career, the media constantly trying to sabotage any friendly relations she's had with Katy Perry in 2013, parting ways with her ex-manager in the same period, her coming clean with her rape experience etc.

I could go on, but y'all can recall all these and more on your own. :oprah: And if after all these she still remains the same as she did when she was new to the pop scene, then I feel she would be lying to herself?

She may not be as light-hearted as she was back then, but as long as she's comfortable with herself and what she does, isn't that better and shouldn't we be happy for her? :music:

I don't actually hate PI

Honestly, i find it refreshing to see Gaga being honest to herself. :unicorn:

Many fans will probably agree. Back then we fell in love with her insanely fierce attitude/energy.

Gaga seems to be working with herself. She's probably getting the feeling of how wrong it feels to say you're something, but in reality you're the exact opposite.

First time we really began to see her lose the 2008-2012 persona was around ARTPOP. Why? Because she had been doing it for too long. She had been disrespecting herself into acting as something she didn't see as her core personality. That is something which will make you very ill. Combine this with all the ARTPOP events, and you have something which could very well have ended badly.

The "new her" turn-around can be alienating, in this case, to the fans. This is not her fault, she's respecting her boundaries like we ALL should.

What we can do. Is embrace she's a "god-damn-super-star!" for finally letting go of that 24/7 persona.  :firega:
