Common question: Is Gaga over?

At this moment she is absolutely over. I believe she will have a surge with the super bowl but as the last several album campaigns have shown us, she might not do anything with her momentum. So if she didn't have the super bowl then yes I would say she is ABSOLUTELY over. But since that event is coming up, then there is a chance for a revival.

I mean she's one of the biggest liars in pop music and I'm saying that as a fan. It's tiresome to follow her career and have extremely low expectations. I am not trolling.

I don't think so. I'm hearing more people discuss her and her music now than I have since Born This Way. And even if she's relatively low on people's radar, it's not for a lack of quality on her part. Joanne is a great album, and "Million Reasons" is one of its strongest tracks.

She's doing fine though? She's not taking over the world, but she just had one of the biggest debuts of the year, is set to headline the Superbowl (rumored to do Glastonbury), and is doing this with a mellow Americana/folk influenced album. We all know it's not just us fans keeping her afloat, otherwise her second week drop would have been 90%. She has seemingly kept a fanbase and is pulling in casual listeners this time. That's nothing to sneer at.

Pop forums are full of stans with petty vendetta's and their own weird biases, so you're not going to find much accurate perspective there. ATRL once told me Adam Levine and Maroon 5 were bigger than Beyonce, and that Princess Diana had "no longevity" (since she died in a car crash) compared to Rihanna, so it's a pretty wack place to get opinions from.

She's over commercially. She hasn't been popular for over 5 years and it's only gonna be harder to have a comeback album as the years go on. However, those saying she'll have a comeback album need to realize that's what everyone thought ARTPOP and joanne were gonna be.  I guess she'll always have a fanbase but unless she gets back with redone, creates an album full of bops, with visuals, promo, killer performances, and a fierce attitude (which will probably never happen) she will continue to fade away

Hand over your stan card immediately :diane:

Just because she's not as obsessed with RedOne as some of you doesn't mean that she's over :classy:

Wow, none of y'all understand what being over means. Just because an artist doesn't have a huge hit doesn't mean they are over. Joanne has proven to be a succesful in albums sales so far, pretty much equaling how Anti was selling in pure sales, only behind Lemonade. This album is connecting with people and she has barely started promo.

At least, I hope the album gets 4 singles or more, with videos...the problem behind the ARTPOP era was the mess with the singles, if this happen with Joanne will be bad for her
