hypothetically I would agree with this except my issues are 

1) how they're possibly going to crackdown those who are truly criminals 

2) how much money will be spent on this and 

3) what qualifies as a criminal

one could argue that just because they're "illegal immigrants" they're considered criminals and those who drive without a license are criminals even though they can't legally obtain one and so on

the number of 2-3 million "gang members/drug dealers/rapists" is not at all accurate and I fear innocent immigrants will be affected by this since him and his supporters have already classified all immigrants as "criminals/lazy"

he's over simplifying this and classifying ALL immigrants in a way that is completely inaccurate and is frankly dealing with one of the lesser issues this country faces

They are called illegal for a reason, trespassing the border without permit is breaking the law, regardless of the sob stories.

What would people do when a stranger trespassing your private property and dare to tell you they break in to find something or a dime for their family at home? Yes, call the police.

this is a flawed argument and one that is used too often as well

"illegal" in this manner is used as an equivocation- slaves used to be "legal" in this country and that was wrong

ICE is waaaaaay too preoccupied with REAL criminals (a la DRUG CARTELS) to focus their attention on a broke college student who actually pays his taxes

I don't stand by it, there are millions out there still trying to get in legally either by work permit or DV program and I feel it is unfair for these people, that's all.

He said he is only going to deport the criminal illegals, not the ones who don't commit crimes.

it shouldn't be approached so callously. i've seen reports on illegal immigrants (in the example i'm thinking of, a father was separated from his children) being deported because he had a DUI (and this was under the Obama administration). that kind of deportation is uncalled for in my opinion and harsh; the punishment must fit the crime, that kind of offense does not warrant deportation at all in my opinion.
