People have literally gotten divorces 'cause on supports Hillary while the other supports Donald. My grandmother's friends say they're close to splitting for that exact reason 'cause the fights they get in reach hulatious levels of absurdity :spin:

I mean I diefinetly would think differently of them, they are gay and voting for a candidate that has shown extreme homophobia in the past. I would probably lose a little respect is all

No way. I haaaaate Trump but just because a family member votes for Trump doesn't mean I disown them. That's just way too extreme. I respect other people's political views as one should.

It depends on what my current relationship with them is. If it's a good, solid relationship, it wouldn't be a deal breaker. If it's a new relationship or it's been rocky for a while, it might be.

I think that disowning a family member for this reason is as bad as disowning a family member because they are gay and I believe that we are better than this.   There is a french phrase that translates as don't do to the others what you would not want someone to do to you.
