No way... They can't make the era reliant on discounts. They're fine in short spurts for the single / album when appropriate, but days and days of discounts just increases the damage later when it's removed.

And the fact MR plunged after AMAs even with a discount and surged again during The Voice without the discount shows that she doesn't need to/shouldn't fall back on them for success.

I agree, like the second discount on Million reasons was unnecessary so they'd better not discount song and album again.

They can discount Cheek to cheek for holidays though, to get closer to 800k sales.
