Quark 7,098
o<(0_0)>o Let's face it, if Beyonce had released Joanne it would have been acclaimed. Joanne is getting decent reviews so far, but it simply deserves much more. On the other hand Lemonade, one of the best received albums this year, was praised even though it's content was in general typical Beyonce. Lemonade was consistent, and it's visual aspect was appealing, but honestly no single song on Lemonade is as appealing, memorable, or intricate as the songs on Joanne. Joanne is much more intriguing musically, more interesting lyrically. Gaga also matches the emotions and genres of the songs with her versatile voice, while Beyonce in general sounds the same no matter the genre of the song. And is not like Beyonce sings bad but Gaga is simply a level above her when it comes to choosing the perfect vocal styles for her songs. In general, specially in terms of creativity, Joanne is simply much betrer.

melodichard 3,769
I think they are both great albums that truly represent the best of the best in pop music. Beyoncé and Gaga are simply in another league than their contemporaries.
KinneyUnderYou 0
I agree with the following: "Let's face it, if Beyonce had released Joanne it would have been acclaimed." Although, the rest of your content is based on preferences in music. I find the album a very great record, memorable, and fun listen to. It's very artistic. Yes, it has its similarities of Beyoncé, but it is a great record. Although, critics are very harsh on Gaga. It's not surprising. On the other hand, critics are rarely harsh on Beyoncé. @Thomas P I'm so ready for your response.

PMKKARDASHiAN 8,570
While I only like 3 or 4 songs on lemonade, I like them far more than the 5 or 6 on joanne. It's all subjective and based on opinion

Eros92 2,513
Im not even a fan of beyonce or LEMONADE but no.... LEMONADE was a political statement and very personal for her. She had strong visuals to back it up. It was for sure her BTW. Joanne is a fantastic album which is also very personal but doesn't really touch on any major issues (other then Angel Down) that are going on currently. Thats why LEMONADE was so impactful. melodichard 3,769
We shouldn't tear Beyoncé down to recognize Gaga's greatness. They can coexist y'all. Listen to Hey Girl
swakby 4,100
I honestly don't know how people compare two albums that have literally nothing in common. Even with Gaga's albums - it's so hard for me to rank them because they are all so different musically and lyrically.
TheFadedFame 0
No, no, no. Don't be delusional and you know it well. Please. Beyonce is an authentic, original artist and that's why she thrives.
