Honestly, I think she's trying the opposite approach. She overhyped ARTPOP and it bit her in the ass, so it may be the overly cautious route of doing nothing until the time is right. Or this is more sacred to her so she doesn't want to kill her spirit. Who knows

I think the same, maybe she's having very little promo so that she'll get 'forgotten'  within the firsts singles and then boom release a bop in the beginning of February and get a good promo with the SB (like a comeback?) 

But also maybe she doesn't really care anymore  and she'll become an indie singer and cancel everything and start singing in bars and small events only, with good songs for sure but few little monsters I guess (probably the real ones).

Its that or she is just broken af and can't afford such costly promotion stuff

I don't know if this has already been said, because I don't really want to read all of the comments . I'm not trying to make this a joke, but I really do think she's trying to have an indie era for this album. That would explain the low promotion and the toned-down image. It fits the album, which isn't as pop as she used to be. I think she wants to be taken more seriously as an artist, and she gained a lot of respect for her post-ARTPOP performances and Cheek To Cheek. The toned down image will help with people seeing her as a performer, and the low promotion will help the general public not be overwhelmed with her and not have her overexposed, which can often kill an artist more than help one.

OT: At this point, I'm baffled. Unless some strange crisis is going on in her personal life, there isn't much of an excuse for this. Actual indie acts, regardless of the genre, would have promoted their album more than she or her team is at this point. I really hope Monday's announcement is something game changing for this era because it's looking up to be one of the most uneventful era rollouts yet.

Everything they post is about charts and the general public, they don't enjoy what she does: making music. Put yourself in her shoes, I don't want to be around such haters.

TBH a lot of the people who are constantly negative are never going to change their opinion on things. They don't care because they will always criticize and be negative unless Gaga does what they want. Which is never happening. 

I think the reason why this time around is so bad is because fans who are normally supportive, positive, and constantly defending her are even a bit annoyed at the least. I for one never drag her, respect her musical directions, etc. but even I am a tad bit annoyed. Yes I could put myself in her shoes but for the 100th time it's her job. At the very least she could perform for fans at non exclusive events like private bars. It's frustrating.
