I don't know where you are from, but in the United States they can be prejudgiced against white people. But not racist. The distinction is that when a black person hates on a white person, the white person is not in any way threatened. White on black crime, however, is a very real threat to black people in America, because it is ingrained completely in our Justice System. This country is ruled by white people. The judges are white, the police are white, and when they also happen to be racist it gives them the power to unlawfully take, abuse, and ignore black lives. Look at statistics, black children are 18x more likely than white kids to be tried and convicted as adults. Black people get harsher and longer punishments than white people, for the same exact crimes. It's a lack of human empathy in the mindset of authorities. A white kid kills, it's "how can we lock this kid up? It'll ruin his life. He's so young, he's like my kid. he made a mistake!" A black kid kills, and it's "This threat/monster/thug needs to be put away forever". Unarmed black kids (12 years old) get shot and killed by white police, and the media calls the kid an adult, a thug. People report on their criminal history, and paint them as violent criminals. A white kid can shoot up a church of black people in South Carolina and be detained alive, and unharmed. He'd be called a kid with mental health issues. The whole system is stacked against black people in this country. No wonder they are upset. You would be too, if it was happening to you. the only relevant post in ths thread

Tell that to the white people who were lynched for their race at BLM riots last month. You're conflating systemic racism with the simple dictionary definition of the word, just like you're overthinking the OPs simple use of the word phobia. Gay people who have an extreme aversion or fear to straights and straight culture technically have a phobia.
Lord Temptation 11,209
Gay people can't get mad. First she "pandered" to the gays, now she is "pandering" to the straights. She's only being equal.

Call me when your 12 year old, unarmed son is shot down by a grown man, known to be emotionally unstable and unfit for police work, and that man is found not guilty of murder. That he 'made a mistake, but it wasn't anything criminal. Call me when your dead child is called a man, and is robbed of innocence by the very men who are supposed to protect you. Sorry for not being more clear. It's stupid. I'm straight and I have straight/cis privilege because nobody knows I'm trans, but at the same time it hurts me that people like me have so little rights. Im not saying or disputing actual violence on blacks but I really fail to grasp how is "prejudice" really different to being "racist"? i mean, the very definition of being racist is being prejudiced against a race Flyin' like a 1000 Doves

In the us (my country Idk bout you), ~70% of the population is white. That leaves the other races as minorities of a large magnitude. Us history society and culture is centered around whiteness as the norm. Racism breeds inside this systematic and culturally enforced dynamic In the us. This history is drenched in murder of minorities at the hands of white men, beginning with genocide of indigenous peoples. They enforced a system of slavery against an entire race because of their skin color. Post 9/11 America bread fear and mistrust of middle easterns. Today, one of two candidates for president wants to kick latinos out of our country. Some racism is blatant and literal expressed hatred for another race because of their skin color... hate crimes, racial slurs, police shootings some argue. White people are the dominant race and they get to choose to ignore their privilege or be cognizant of it. Minorities..they live their lives cognizant of it, because it's a quality that makes them unlike the majority. It's a quality that some will even hold against you, conscious or subconsciously, Much like gays... Much like heterophobia, other races in the US can't really be racist. They may have an aversion, an avoidance of, a mistrust for, and resentment towards other races coughWhiteppl but that's just an effect of racism. It's okay if you really weren't interested
