Literally, people aren't defending Gaga here because it's her, they're defending her because you're being ridiculous. Sexism is a horrible thing when it's actually malicious or just used to speak downt to or poorly of a gender but the joke about 'manly cries' was clearly her poking a little bit of fun at a moving moment between herself and two people she cares a great deal about. If this really offends you that much, I think you need to grow up just a little bit, it's not like she said that men are pathetic if they cry. Bookmarked The angriest twink on GagaDaily. It's like you like long hair, or is that offensive now? I guess you didn't read the sentence after that. I literally said that it's her preference. 666 others 1,856
@faysalaaa1 I agree with you, ignorant and close-minded people do get shocked whenever they are introduced to some new concept, and think it's abnormal. Also, since you and I have completely different knowledge and ideas on how the Govt., feminism and science works, I think there is no point in taking this discussion further. By the way, the term is non-binary, not none binary. Have a nice day. :holyshit:

I'm frightened because we are searching for a sexist message under a slang expression. I'm frightened because someone actually feels uncomfortable for expression like "that girls has balls" or "manly crying". Regarding the second one, I think it's clear that a man hasn't got the same voice/tone/register as a woman, except someone who either has got a girlish voice or forces his own to get that result. But the point is, she was underlining that her father was crying in silence, not like shouting or speaking with a head voice. That is. Girls cries differently. Normal differences. Everything is normal, nothing is sexist. Admitting these kind of differences between men and women is not sexist. Is reality. Like, why would you ever focus on the way a man and a woman cry? We are different. That is. If you don't accept that men and women are different than go back to school and learn something about human science. Regarding the expression "to have balls": do we really wanna live in a world where even a slang expression that does not insult any kind of man or woman, that is commonly considered a compliment, that actually means "to be really brave" and that's not used to hurt someone's feeling - do we really wanna live in a world where this kind of expression is considered sexist? I don't. And that's why I'm frightened. Because just as much as that expression is not sexist, your (referring to the OP) thoughts aren't just femminists, in my own personal opinion, they are slightly extremists. You're way too overlooking into it, and the fact that you feel actually offended, well... that's not being a feminist of defening the absolutely true genders equality, that's being and extremist from my point of view. (I didn't mean to be offensive, English is not my first language and this is the most moderate way I could express my thoughts.) Well that is rich. Thank you. And, by the way (sorry if AP), I think is also disrespectful to talk about Gaga's supposed sexism when she clearly admitted that she is a feminist. We all know she takes some topics of this site really seriously (for example, she tweeted something with #BLM soon after a topic on here bashing here because she never tweeted it - and other example I don't recall now). I think that she is really kind of offended now, because after all these years during which she promoted kindness for everyone and equality between genders (do you remember the song Scheiße?) someone is still thinking that she is sexist, not just that she is using some wrong terms - the capitalized word "sexist" in the thread title says it all. No one is bashing gaga...people are having discussions regarding how language keeps certain patriarchal ideas alive. No one is saying gaga is not a feminist. For example Scheisse is one of my favourite gaga songs and I love the message but I cringe inside every time she says 'female' in it. We're women not females. And also using female is rather trans exclusionary which obviously isn't intentional of gaga as she wanted to include all communities in born this way but sometimes her language means her point is missed. It's not bashing it's just dialogue.
