Imagine being messy enough to let two words questions all the action she has done for women's rights and the LGBT Community. So glad I can't relate. Well actually if this wasnt a big deal this wouldn't be a big thread.... Of course you can't relate because you're only looking at the shallow aspect of this subject and seem to think this is primarily only about two words lady gaga said, when in reality those two words she said are a reflection of a larger issue that TONS of people in society participate in without even realizing or caring. I'm sorry, my friend, but since you dont care or can't relate why are you here making a comment, attempting to participate in this discussion? ♥ Kindness Police. Lassex 1,169
I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think Gaga means to offend anyone. These things are a part of this society, and it's hard to speak in a politically correct way all the time, you know what I mean? The other day I heard someone saying on the radio ''Tove Lo has more balls than Ellie Goulding'' (which I found ironic because Tove Lo just criticized that phrase) but I thought it was a funny thing to say. I found it funny and not offensive because it's obvious (for me) that women are strong, powerful and important in the same way than men are. ''To have balls'' is just a saying and no-one means it in a misogynistic way. It surely is misogynistic though if you think about it literally. Do you remember when Gaga said the only thing she's looking for in man is a big di**? That was pretty ignorant and sexist towards men. Or maybe she was just stating her preference, I don't know. And about the crying part: I think Gaga was referring to the way men try to hide their tears. She wasn't saying that she herself finds it odd if men cry, she just said that her dad and Mark tried to hide it. Many men do that - maybe they think that showing emotion is a sing of weakness. I dont like to label myself as a trans specially when your definition of trans is "Transgender is an umbrella term that encompasses several gender identities" as I dont believe there is more than two genders. I believe my body is male but my mind in female which is basically what science tells us.. if you consider that transgender then yes im that and if not, then im not I dont care. 3. Being trans is abnormal and the definition of that word simply means it only happens to an extremely small minority which is less than 0% of the world.. so saying something is abnormal does not equal something bad or not accepted! Also saying nature is testing itself is not offensive as nature tests itself on all of us thats why evolution exists. 4. Dont try to use my nationality and country to shut me up and try to insult me in a passive aggressive way specially when you dont even know me! ive literally traveled the world ever since I was born, lived and studied in many countries, have families from different cultures and religion, my grandmother is a writer and a journalist with many books, I speak more than two languages and now I live in the united states.. so maybe you should attempt to do the same thing and then come call me ignorant about other cultures. The entire world enforces gender binary including all western countries and America as people base things out of science so its not just my country. I also never said transgenders and none binary genders is a new abnormal thing so it seems like you are not understanding anything im saying! 5. Im telling you to educate me and that im open to what you will say is rude? yeah thats the first sign you should know theres something wrong with your brain! I asked you to inform me because most of the results in google will be by none feminists and scientific based and I know feminists have their own world of reason so I asked you. It seems like its not a problem to use that word judging from what you explained so ill continue using that word. 2. If you aren't trans then why not accept you aren't educated on it and stop spouting offensive lies? If you think that's what science tells us about sex and gender....you don't know science. 4. I suggest you pay more attention/learn when you travel the world then because there's lots of countries and cultures that don't enforce a gender binary 5. I've asked you several questions to try and help you understand and you ignored them all and yet demand I educate you. I also DID educate you on why not to use transsexual and you insist on still using it so it sounds like you just want to be offensive. Anyway I'm not going to try to teach you anything else as you just skim over all facts people have presented to you because they don't fit the opinion you hold. No they are not worrying or undesirable and I think people know what abnormal is regardless of its dictionary meaning.. male sea horses are the ones who get pregnant and thats abnormal but its not worrying or undesirable, it actually is amazing. 4. Yes they do have rights but they are not considered as something real by people in these countries or government and science. Also, in Saudi Arabia transsexuals do have rights and government allow them to change their gender. Umm they exist therefore they're real. They have rights therefore they are recognised. And for the last friggin time scientific evidence supports non binary people so stop saying it doesn't. What decade is your science from?? Like seriously what else is there for you to question? Saudi Arabia does not recognise trans rights. They will allow what they believe to be a 'gender correction' surgery to be performed on intersex people. Guest
i think you guys are looking too much into it. by saying 'manly cries' she was implying that her father held back and didnt go into full mode crying bc of HIS view of how a man is supposed to cry in public. the way she said it actually sounded to me like gaga herself knew it was ridiculous.
