Activist Aziza Al-Yousef, who was arrested in 2013 for deliberately breaking the country’s ban on women driving, started the petition. She and another activist tried to deliver it by hand to the Royal Court on Monday, but were told to send it by post instead. A lot of major religions has had a ton of negative regressive rhetoric and scripture throughout history. That's why these religions progressed, beliefs and interpretations alongside. These women are Muslims and have pride in their faith, they just strive to advance it and end the bigotry, hatred and hypocrisy. Do not make this an anti-religion debate for no reason. My point was that people always cherry pick things they want to believe in their religion, even though by right their religion tells them that they should believe in EVERYTHING. That's the reason why religious people can go out killing people but then say that it's because their religion states that gay people should go to hell. I admire people who can cherry pick the right things, but imo it should be no surprise to them that many people today still hold on to regressive beliefs, because after all, that's what their religion tells them.
