No, the promo wouldn't help her, the song is dying and nothing can help it. Look at The Weeknd's Starboy, the song hadn't promo on the radio or iTunes at all, just some public banners and it's doing great. PI is a bad song in terms of success on radio, streaming, GP and anything else but some of Gaga's fans. Get over it

At least we got to see her perform it live

I don't care about the chart

It wouldn't help her cause it is a nice to mediocre song, simple as that.

And for all those pressed and snatched little huntsters that are thinking of going on as per usual about charts and sales, we've fcinkug heard it all before, and it doesnt change the fact the songs has gone from #15 to #42.

It's just a fact.

So what comments do You expect here? Ok here is mine:

#42 looks very cool (i spread positivity!)

Well, what were we expecting right? Let's hope this LEAD SINGLE for a much antecipated album won't leave the chart after two weeks...

I don't know about others but I don't feel good music is equal to what goes #1 or is played most on the radio; just listen to that nonsense about screwing cousins in rovers or whatever the lyrics are. Just because it is popular doesn't always make it necessarily good. I would rather have a song like Perfect Illusion with non-autotuned vocals, raw emotion, and live instrumentation than whatever is on the radio these days.

But hey, that's just me.

If Gaga was all over the charts you wouldn't see ONE, NOT EVEN ONE FREAKING PERSON complaining about how charts are irrelevant. There is the major hypocrisy.

Actually, you would see one person saying they don't care about chart performance and that is me. Therefore your statement is invalid.

Has her ARTPOP/Creative Rebellion movement taught you guys nothing. Just lay back and feast as this audio guides you through new and exciting positions.

Stop worrying about the charts. This album was never intended to be a chart dominating one. Gaga has been so disconnected from the music public the past couple of years.

Just think about it this way. ARTPOP was like Madonna's Erotica. It ended her world domination stage but she still went on to become a respected and evolving artist. (See Ray of Light, Confessions, Music etc.)

Unfortunately, it's way too early to say this.

"Joanne" might get lots of mixed reviews. If so, there goes your "respected" artist.

The C2C and Oscars campaign was good for her career, but it seems like everyone forgot about her performance and the C2C didn't make people forget she is a pop star. In fact, it had the opposite effect, made people even more anxious for her pop return. I believe that wasn't the purpose, I believe they were trying to convince the audience that Gaga is not supposed to be a pop star, and that is why her "return" has been so unsatisfying. So, as much as she is trying to "evolve", she is unable to convince people (and I'm not really sure why, I guess people really loved Gaga's pop after all...)

Even after Erotica, Madonna was always seen as the Queen of Pop. Madonna did movies, as a director and as an actress, went a little further with her music, but even today she is the Queen of Pop (in my opinion, relying in her previous work, rather than her effort today, but she still is).

Lady Gaga is going from "the New Queen of Pop" to "that huge pop success in the late 2000s". And I find that really, really sad. Her peak was so big and she was too promising to end up the Cyndi Lauper (which, well, is not as bad as it might sound. She continues to release albums, does different genres, continues to tour, and wins Grammys, Tonys and Emmys. If we accept the loss of #1s and the titles, the mild reviews most albums will get for sure and the lack of strong promo, we'll be ok).

Don't take "indie" or "no promo" to say something stupid. The fact IS the fact. We need to accept it and express our true feelings.

Which is that Gaga doesn't care about promo, charts or facts. It's all about how she feels. And she feels good. Doesn't that make you feel good too?
