I really don't want to be negative about her willingness to change in every aspect of her life. She's adapting as a performer and no longer feels the need to create shocking performance art, whether that's her actual performances or her outfits or the controversial things she does. And that's fine.

But at the same time, I can't help but feel a bit underwhelmed by the 'normal Gaga'. This era just doesn't excite me so far. I want to love it, but I just... don't. And that deeply saddens me. I'm not being a hater, because I'm still keeping an open mind for the album. I just can't hide the fact this Joanne era is really boring so far. Hearing her say Joanne is "just a bunch of songs about my life" feels very wrong. Where is the passion, where's the creativity? It's upsetting, I'm not going to lie.

passion is still here it's just that she changed the way of expressing it...........she moved on from crazy clothes at least for now......and those that don't like it can leave...... i mean no one is forcing them to stay.......also change was coming so it would be really stupid to think  that she was going to stay the same forever.....no artist does.....at least not good ones......look at Elton john, prince,David bowie,Janet Jackson,Michael jacksion even madonna toned down for some eras.......staying crazy will just never work......

I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"

Gaga should change her commercial name Lady Gaga into something like Lady Cool whatever etc. She's not that Gaga anymore. :nails:

:oprah: I could have sworn her team calls her Gaga. I could have sworn "Lady Gaga" is the name on all of her records. I could have sworn that "Lady Gaga" is the controversial name, that people know around the world.

I also could have sworn that her name is a dedication to a few of the many artists that made her who she is today. You guys want her to do what she was doing in 2009. This woman is not in her 20s, anymore. When she turns 50, will you still want her wearing meat dresses, and running around nearly naked? Isn't that the same logic we bash Madonna for? People have the right to evolve. If we can't evolve with them, then it wasn't meant for us to do so. At that time, it'd be best to go a separate way.

we are in the same boat, my only problem is after tfm i wasn't a 'stan' and i wasn't following everything gaga did and watched everything she was doing until she began artRave. My point is i missed the btw era and the ARTPOP era (kinda) and i want those times back to complete the empty hole in my life. ARTPOP will forever be my favourite as it healed me but i also still listen to it now and i'm still as addicted to it as much as i was back then. <3

Ohhh okay. I thought you were like hating on the era and wanting Joanne to be like that, because lemme tell ya, there have been so many stupid negative threads lately. But ya I can understand wanting to go back and relive those, even I would and I still remember everything pretty vividly.

OT: One thing I forgot to mention, is that the Joanne ball will be the first Gaga concert I have ever gone to. If I miss that than I may as well just die.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

:oprah: She has not had plastic surgery.

I'm a nurse practitioner and I know body modification when I see it. Anything that manipulates the body's apparence for "esthetic" reasons falls under plastic surgery umbrella. Now look at the interview she had with Elvis and tell me her upper lip has had no modification.

I don't think it feels "very wrong", in fact, I love it. I want to learn more about her, I want to be able to relate to her on a more "human level". Her previous four albums were great, they really were, but I'm excited to hear something different. These non-conceptual songs are going to give us more insight into who she "really is" and how she's struggled just as much as everyone else.

I'd also argue that this is probably the most passionate and creative she's been with an album. Passionate, because all of these songs, and album, are going to be autobiographical. These are stories about her life, and what's she been through, etc. etc. I'm sure she's extremely passionate about them. I also think that it's creative in a sense that she's decided to strip back down a bit for this album. We know Gaga to be the girl with dance songs that wears crazy, eclectic outfits, but to see a "normal Gaga" with little makeup, slick back hair, a simple crop top and cut off jeans: it's nice.

Honestly, they're some of my favorite outfits she's ever worn, don't get me wrong, I love her avant-garde costumes, but I just love these so much better. Plus, it's also quite consistent, which I actually quite like.

I feel like outfits for this era will be more "stripped down", I'm not expecting anything avant-garde or too crazy. Maybe something here and there, but I'm loving her sense of fashion this era.

Because they were years ago. That's like me saying "Why don't I feel nostalgic about 2017 yet :("

Give this era a chance. If you don't like it, you don't like it

does anyone else feel this way? I listen to BTW ✞ and ARTPOP and I miss those era's. This time around it just doesn't feel the same.

I wish I could turn back time to before btw and do it all over again, I miss that gaga and the era so much I actually feel upset.

I love Perfect Illusion but gaga has changed so much after ARTPOP which is probably good for her, as she is in a better place, you all know what I mean.

In her interviews, not only does she look completely different, but she sounds different and her personality seems more, 'normal'.

Opinions?

You'll feel it again once she goes on tour. If she does nothing else correct, she know how to put on a show.
