AlphaMonster 1,806
I hate this type of threads. Then stop listening to Gaga, I don't know... Bunch of poor losers are discussing ohhh what'll happen to Gaga's career... Do you think Cyndi Lauper moved to the ghetto because her career is not what it used to be ??? This fanbase is so damn neurotic that it makes it difficult to enjoy her. You ruin it for yourselves. I agree. Its also the reason why I prefer reading Gaga news outside this forum. I've read comments on other music forums about PI and I honestly feel like they aren't as messy or over the top as here. Most have said they disliked PI, but now they love and it's stuck in their heads. And these comments are from people that aren't remotely close to being Gaga fans. People are pretty harsh on Gaga on most platforms, but this fanbase lets it get to them too much. If you like her and enjoy the song than enjoy it. And when that happens, itll stop perpetuating such a negative aura and would probably actually benefit her career. Because a lot of the backlash shes received are from her own fans feeling like they need to denounce and abandon her everytime they dont like something because they've been conditioned or pressured into thinking thats what they have to do to join everyone else. Or maybe its also that theyre devotion to her is so passionate, that denouncing her feels like a release, like a weight is lifted. idk. either way its extra and dumb imo. other fanbases are just as passionate if not more, but none of them. and i mean none of them. are as quick to genuinely bash and abandon. So where's the negativity? But how can you create a thread stating I think Perfect Illusion is flopping, when the song is a day old? At least wait for a video, promo, or something. Just accept that not everyone likes it and give those people also some topics, this is just not The Fame-era anymore where everyone liked everything of Gaga, we should be happy that stans give their own opinion now, instead stanning for everything because its Gaga. It's a sign that the fanbase is more grown up than before. If.... also the negative comments, and there are a lot of them, should get their space here on GGD. And yes I don't post here often, but I registered wayyyy before PI. BS. It isn't anywhere near half of the fanbase, newbie.

How does that definition make sense in any way? This was making a thread to alarm and concern troll. When Katy comes out with a debut single, I'm going to make a thread that says the song is flopping within the first twelve hours of release (no matter if it is number one in dozens of countries) and let's see how long it would take for that thread title to change and for that thread to be closed due to "Flamebait". We should ge giving Gaga the same courtesy we give other artists here. This is HER fanforum, after all.

swakby 4,100
After doing a mini research, I think that the song will debut somewhere #8 - #15. Kwobs says the digital sales will be around 100k. Beyonce managed to debut at #10 with around 180k (I think) but with literally zero streaming. PI is not very strong on YT or Spotify, but there will be some gain of both of them. The bad thing, in my opinion, is that the song is not catchy enough for the GP (or at least around me) and I am afraid that the debut will remain the song's peak. I really hope I'm wrong !!! I don't know what you define as "flop", but for me a top 15 debut (and probably peak) is a very good thing for a star that has been around for almost a decade. The music industry, which is highly driven by streaming nowadays, has changed drastically over the last few years and not everyone can stay #1 for 14 weeks. Guest
GURL PLEEEEEEASE! LEAVE US ALONE WITH THE NUMBERS AND THE NEGATIVITY AROUND THEM! IF U WANNA SEE GAGA SINGING TRASHY SONGS IN ORDER TO BE NUMBER ONE ALL THE TIME THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM! GO LISTEN CHAINSMOKERS KATY PERRY TAYLOR SWIFT 21 PILOTS AND OTHER GENERIC BULLSH*T FOR TEENAGE PARTIES. GAGA IS A ONE OF A KIND TALENT, SHE DOESN'T EVEN WORTH TO BE IN THE SAME CONTEXT WITH THESE BASIC ACTS THE SONGS OF WHOME WILL BE FORGOTTEN A FEW WEEKS AFTER THEIR RELEASE. LET US ENJOY THIS 'PERFECT ILLUSION'!

If someone thinks that's flopping then that's on them, it's been made clear that majority don't feel that way We can't be forcing someone not to feel or think that way You can do as you wish, if it's deemed as flamebaiting then it'll be locked and you'll be warned Especially if it's intended as some peculiar backhanded way to try to get back at moderation as some form of revenge or whatever, then I can guarantee it'll head down that route Be part of the solution, not the problem. We're Gaga fans so negative opinions are more likely to come from a constructive or caring place rather than from a hateful place like with some other artists. We're more likely to accept critical discussion about Gaga because we share a common like for Gaga (or certain parts of her career anyway) Again, take the discussion to the Support section or PMs. At the moment you're just bumping a thread that you want gone and giving it extra attention by constantly posting in it
