pie-kun 1,765 Posted September 9, 2016 Share Posted September 9, 2016 I have to say that I have no idea how this single will perform, it definitely doesn't seem like it fits in with radio's current line-up, but then again we've seen a lot of safe radio-friendly songs from huge pop girls that have done poorly lately (Make Me and Rise come to mind) so who knows what could happen. I'm very impressed by its iTunes performance so far. I remember staying up the night of Applause's premiere waiting a few hours for it to hit the top 10 and it seems like Perfect Illusion shot up to #2 in the blink of an eye. That being said, longevity is the name of the game here. It will start getting red updates at some point and it really comes down to wear it stabilizes and how streaming/radio embrace it. Of course he also doesn't really like modern pop music (he likes 70s classic rock). Maybe just maybe this might surprise us on the charts. In a good way. I'm hopeful.
