And now I'm thinking Gaga will have a comfortable lead over Closer, probably selling 40k first day. Hopefully she can pull off 20k a day for the rest of the week and then we'd be able to call the single a hit already. Also definitely not here for a rush release. Luckily the leak is so LQ anyway it's barely even able to be called a leak. I think she'll be #1 for like 36 hoursish before dropping off. I think it was part of the reason why they chose 9/9 And yeah hoping it can stay top 10. I think Gaga can do that though. Applause turned out to be a hit very much liked by Top40 audiences, while radio stations were skeptical. They won't repeat that mistake again unless it's a Rise-sized flop. Just excited to see what Bobby has planned for European promotion. They neglected Germany from the start last era which was a mistake. Hopefully PI can become a top 10 hit there. Any promo in Germany would already guarantee a bigger hit than Applause tbh Why are #1 and #2 rising so much though. Closer is now almost back to VMA week numbers not supposed to happen. Then the release plan will be safe which is awesome. A lot of radio stations confirmed they will spin it all day Friday, which is great again, and we know the radio deal is on and it's happening on the 13th. First day-two, all the super fans will buy it and make sure it hits #1 almost everywhere, and the gp will get interested. Good banners will help a lot, so the song can definitely stay #1 on Friday + Saturday, Sunday possibly a video release? or some other promo thing to keep the hype, and then comes the radio deal and hopefully some more promo spots like interviews and other ****..
