Gaga is a great performer, what makes her a standout performer is that when she performs she always has a recognisable style. Her performances all scream Gaga, nobody out there can perform like Gaga does. Even when she sang the National Anthem she performed in towering American flag high heels with red glitter on her eyes and a bright red, shiny suit. Like... It was clearly Gaga who was performing the national anthem.

Beyonce also has her recognisable style. She is also a standout performer. What's important to me is that Beyonce also distinguishes herself from everyone else. She has her own recognisable style. Her performances scream Beyonce, nobody out there can perform like Beyonce does. Nobody else could put on a performance like Beyonce did at the VMA awards. It was very clearly a Beyonce performance.

You seem to be criticising Beyonce for 'repetitiveness' but really what I think you are seeing is trademark Beyonce. In the same way Gaga's costumes, choreography and piano breaks are trademark Gaga.

Her performances are not iconic, she needs to do 15 minutes medleys to impress people.

If she was given regular time slot, no one would remember her performances.

I disagree with what you're saying but I'm tired of her pretentious excessive performances of songs she hasn't even written (or has had minimal input in), claiming to be some high brow "artiste".

For me it's not that I felt she always does the same thing, I just feel her Vma performance with the Lemonade Medley was very similar to the BEYONCE Medley she did last time she was on the Vmas, just with different songs. She can keep slaying with her vocals and dance moves as much as she wants and we still would be slayed but it's the Vmas for crying out loud, I want a moment of shock/surprise/gasp, aren't the Vmas all about that and I don't mean grind on a man or show your tits, I just miss iconic moments such as Britney with the snake and Gaga bleeding. I would have loved it if Beyonce performed one song but gave us an iconic moment, like I dunno bring Jay-Z up on stage and sing to him Hold Up, that would have been something .

Yes like as already said, I agree with you that these two artists have their own way of performing. Is just simply that Beyonce's way of performing seems more repetitive to me than someone like Gaga or MJ. I guess this is just the way I see things.
