Beyonce's performances are repetitive

Is not the fact that she always dances that is repetitive. Is her actual dance moves and movement that seem repetitive. But she is a great dancer and singer though.

I actually disagree. I really see Beyonce's performances as pretty distinct and her moves are generally pretty distinct. Beyonce performances are recognisable, but is that a bad thing?

These performances all have completely different feel, tone and style. They are recognisably Beyonce, but I don't see that as a fault. I think Gaga's Laurieann Gibson/Richy Jackson choreography is pretty recognisable and samish at times, but Gaga also injects a different feel, tone and style to her performances.


If you want repetitive moves, looks and performances look no further than Beyonce's greatest influence Michael Jackson. The king.

What's an MJ performance without a bit of:

MJ's moves and his look are instantly iconic and recognisable. He is the king. There was nobody else who could do it like him.

Similarly, Beyonce's style is recognisable, but who out there can do it like Beyonce? Just look at the VMA awards. There is nobody out there that can do it like Beyonce.

Hell you could say the same thing about Michael Jackson, and he is the greatest entertainer of all time.

I have seen many MJ performances and I agree with you in that he always used his trademark moves too. But for some reason he never gave me the vibe that I was watching the same performance twice. It probably has to do with the fact that he had many trademark moves as opposed to only 2-3 like Beyonce. And Mj used different trademark moves for different performances. Beyonce is still great dancer. And she technically not doing everything the same. But Idk. She just gives me that I seen that before vibe.

I just gave you a list of award show performances that are all entirely different from each other. I never feel like I'm watching the same Beyonce performance twice. I thought her VMA medley this year was different from her medley for her vanguard performance.

To me the point is more so about, can Beyonce distinguish herself as a performer? Is she different from everyone else? To that point I say yes. There is no other performer that has the same style and talent of Beyonce. No other artist at the VMAs could have pulled off the performance Beyonce pulled off. I can't think of another popular artist that could.

Beyonce should have a recognisable style, her talents and performances should scream Beyonce. If they didn't then she would be in trouble. You need to distinguish yourself from other performers and I think Beyonce does that. She offers something nobody else can. I watch Beyonce perform and can't imagine another star doing what she does, I watch some other pop stars perform and it feels... generic or run of the mill. It feels like you could replace the star with another performer and it wouldn't change anything.

Gaga's performances scream Gaga and they play to her talents, Beyonce's performances scream Beyonce and they play to her talents, MJ's performances screamed MJ and they played to his talents.

She definitely was the best performer by far last night. But I bet Gaga can match her or outdo her. By the way, Gaga also never feels the same because her visuals are drastically different every time she performs, and because she has more variety in what she can do (act, dance, sing, and play instruments. Oh and there is also other random crazy stuff she does (vomit performance, falling from a mountain (edge of glory american idol), mounting pianos, ect.).

I don't necessarily agree with what you said here or your other posts but reading the comments here, your opinions always tend to be unpopular. 

 I somewhat admire you for still voicing them out nonetheless. I would probably have long shut up and stopped posting anything if I were you and be forced to keep my opinion to myself.

Beyonce and Gaga are the only artists who are great singers and also entertaining performers. Beyonce can do both at the same time very well, Gaga can sing decently when she's dancing intensely but Gaga has the strength of delivering outstanding vocals when she's not dancing at all, which I think are vocals better than Beyonce's.

I guess people have their own strengths. And you gotta play with your strengths no matter how repetitive it becomes.

Except I did not mean match her or out do her by Gaga doing the same performance. I just meant in general. In a showcase of skills, and in creativity I think Gaga is the only one that can match or outdo Beyonce with performing.
