What's good and what's not is such a personal thing that threads like this are bound to end up in that GGD bickering we all know and love(?)...

I think one can only say "TO ME 2016 has been a great year in music so far", but other than that...

To me 2016 has been a mixed bag, tbh...

2013 had more pop releases but a lot of them weren't that great. Britney Jean, Avril Lavigne, ARTPOP (in my opinion).

Yeah those songs are nice but boring. I don't know how more to describe it. I like the way you gave receipts though. Very thorough. I guess nothing last year had me shook, sorry :p

The only highlights of this year for me are Anti and Dangerous Woman. Both are flawfree. Lemonade is so overrated and Glory extremely lackluster imo.

This Is Acting was good too but too all over the place for my taste and even though that's how it was supposed to be (the theme), I can't ignore that. I prefer the cohesion and grittiness of 1000 Fears. Nice bops though.

  Wow.  UR funny.  In 1953 Bill Haley wrote "Rock Around The Clock", the first hugely popular song that was unquestionably Rock n Roll. For the rest of that decade there were many great artists and songs that were rock n' roll.
