Not Feeling Gaga?

I would be concerned if Gaga DIDN'T change and evolve throughout her twenties. All of this is natural and expected. Gaga is a highly artistic person, so it's been interesting to watch her evolution and transformation over the years.

One of the biggest differences that I noticed it that Gaga isn't as close as she used to be to us. She started slowly drifting away after the BTW era ended. I think her closeness peaked during BTW. She would talk about us all the time in interviews, tweet personal things, and it seemed like she just wanted to please us with her art. During BTW it seemed like she was as obsessed with us as we were with her.

Her drifting away is a good thing though. She is maturing and I don't think her absolute desire is to impress us anymore.

I don't think she's changed that  much as a person tbh.. most probably she's more careful with her health, mentally & physically. She lives her life as a privat person because she is human and doesn't sell herself to the industry anymore like she did during her massive success.
I am happy that she is happy and more mature. She doesn't need greedy fans who only stand behind her when she follows their beliefs and turn their back when she looks after herself.

You just hit the nail on the head.

"The whole point of what I do-the Monster Ball, the music, the performance art aspect of it-I want to create a space for my fans where they can feel free and where they can celebrate because I didn't fit in in high school and I felt like a freak. So I like to create this atmosphere for my fans where they feel like they have a freak in me to hang with and they don't feel alone."

Then all of that would be a lie.

It's not that this was a lie. It's that this has changed. Think about it.

The Fame: I'm going to be famous.

The Fame Monster: I'm going to be different than everyone else (and you can be different, too).

Born This Way: I'm going to be me (and you can be you, too).

ARTPOP: I don't know what the **** I'm going to be, so I'll just be with my fans. (THAT BACKFIRED!)

C2C: I'm Tony's jazz mama.

Pre-LG5: I'm going to farm and cook and dress comfortably and I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS OR THINKS.

So whatever the intention is behind the new era, I have a feeling it's going to be the least interaction with fans of any era so far.

I mean... Lady Gaga is a character. She plays that character, but she's still Stefani inside. She's not Gaga in her personal life, in her relationships with friends or family... So I dont think Im concerned about "not feeling Gaga" because, on the streets she is who she is. I'll wait until the show is on to comment...

And the air was full of various storms and saints x

I don't feel like Gaga (the person we knew for 8 years) is going to make a comeback right now. It feels like she is a different person, as if someone replaced her.

You can compare her to the person she was in 2015 and you would get two different people. It's really freaking me out. The fashion, her attitude towards fans, her voice, the things which seemed important to her, the way she walks, her appearance, her presence, the people who surround her, the things she fought for.

Is anyone else feeling like this? It's like I don't know who she is.

Before you go off on me, this is just an opinion and open for discussion, not insulting.

Swan Heart

I don't mind it, I relate if anything.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Weirdly enough, I felt like she was exactly herself in her Jazz era. It's what she loves to do. And returning to pop seems forced.

I feel the same with everything you have said...

And its not a meltdown if a person feels something about her lol

people are like, wait till she drop that single and killer video :firega:

but how can I be hyped when Im not feeling her, heck, she doesnt even feel herself in my opinion, its like crossing one bridge your whole life, and suddenly you see that bridge is broken and you are scared that its going to break if you try to cross it but other people are telling you, its gonna be fine, just cross it tomorrow its not gonna break.... Floppy example but I hope you get it :toofunny:

Im always gonna love her for everything shes done but Im giving her last chance with this single and album, I cant stan a person who changed everything about themself because cuz that is not the person I loved in the first place.

I dont think she is more careful physically, maybe healthier body but those fillers arent healthy for anyone.

Yes. I mean we know that Gaga is transforming and maturing, but there was a light in Gaga's eyes, a fire that would burn so bright that it would capture me forever. And it's gone. I saw that light once this year and it's also my favorite photo from her. The smile seems so genuine.

The only thing I'm not feeling is the transformation from this:

to this:

this would be more accurate:

its from this tacky mess still grasping onto the fame/btw-era teas

REALITY

I mean, there's no doubt that she's changed to some extent. To what extent that may be, is for people to decide and form their opinion on. I mean, the biggest things to point out are her vocals and her appearance. There's no doubt that that has changed. I my opinion, her vocals have been exponentially better—not to say that weren't great before, because they were. Her appearance is also pretty obvious as well. She's definitely toned down, but that could be because she's in between eras.

I don't really understand, though, why people feel like she's a different person entirely. She's still very much "Gaga", maybe not as much as before, but again, she's in between eras, so things could definitely change with LG5 and Perfect Illusion, I mean, look at the Perfect Illusion banners, would you have expected that vibrant coloration from this pre-era? I certainly didn't.

Plus, changing is just a natural process of life. I don't understand—and this isn't directed directly towards the O.P.—why people feel the need to comment about her change. Yeah, she's changed, but so have we. We've changed. (Most of us) weren't the same people we were in 2008, we've grown, we've matured—most of us have—and that's perfectly fine.
