Also Scandinavia is culturally very different to the rest of Europe. So you ahve different reason for them to disagree with the EU, for Denmark it's immigration and that's why they have the strictest immigration law in the whole EU. A Swedish friend said she wish they could do more when it comes to environmental policies and such in Sweden because the EU don't do enough in comparison, they have to reach the gap with let's say eastern Europe. If you are a rich country you sort of have to compromise a lot and probably feel you have a lot more to loose. The Scandinavian and Germanic culture actually seem pretty close to what the EU stands for I think immigration does play a huge part. Nationalism too probably. Probably also the feeling that the EU costs too much (even though it's less than 1% of GDP). I was just surprised to see such a big gap between Scandinavian countries and Germanic countries, especially considering this poll is about the youth. I literally know no young person who does not have a favourable opinion of the EU, and I don't even live in Germany whih is the most pro-EU country in the continent... I also wonder if this poll before or after Brexit. Where I live pre-Brexit about 60% of the total population was in favour of staying in the EU, and after Brexit this figure rose to 70%. I am gay and turkish, I would like 74% of youth to not be bothered by gays kissing but it is obvious that this research has been done only in universities or downtown Istanbul or Bodrum... Go to the city called Konya and see how 95% of youth say that they would be disgusted by gays kissing... Same goes for EU accession. More than 70% of Turkey does not want to join EU. I have nothing to say about "I feel like I belong to the world part"... Turks are overly nationalistic, result can only be explained with framing effect I think, it is about they asked the question.
