And by that I mean that they are either not new artists or they are not very popular anymore. But these artists do have great voices too.

When they actually put effort into their performances they are definitely the best at list in pop music today. The mark of a good vocalist is consistency though. Would you go to an edm show if the synths only kept in tune when the dj was having a great day? People like Adele and Ariana have the ability to deliver stunningly beautiful performances on occasion, but if between those great moments is a lot of mediocrity why should they deserve endless praise? Everyone who pays $100 for a concert ticket deserves to hear a vocalist at their best, and if they physically can't always deliver that they aren't too great after all. While Gaga has only used her voice to her full potential only on live performances and not completely on her music. Hopefully LG5 changes this perception for at least those that still doubt her talents. Couldn't agree more! From what we've seen CTC and the live performances can only spread out so much, to some extent because it isn't what the GP ask for in a pop star but it certainly did a good job in reaching out to a certain demographic. It seems like her focus is also her voice now (hopefully). Lady Gaga | Shakira

Some of these artists are definitely not consistent with their vocal performances. Which is why I included Gaga at the top of the list. You rarely see bad vocals when Gaga performs. You are almost always guaranteed a great live performance from Gaga. However, this thread was referring to their ability to sing or their known capabilities for singing. And I think these artists definitely fit those qualities.
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
I get that it's opinion, but Ive just come to obligatorily say that Beyonce can in fact sing circles around everyone on that list whether you like her or not #SorryBoutIt Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran don't even come close to anyone else on that list for me Honestly most modern male "pop" singers these days get by on charisma and for having distinctive or interesting tenor to high baritone voices.. That along with having a decent to good #falsetto and you are set, whereas the pop girls are held to a higher standard in terms of vocal ability it seems, which drives me kinda crazy They have to have emotive qualities, wide ranges, good actual technique, unique voices, and versatility all in one to be "good" according to some stans. Ed Sheeran has pretty great pitch though from what I've heard/seen of him live 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
