I agree. I almost feel like people go to concerts now with the expectations of meeting the artist. It's awesome if it happens but damn enjoy the concert for what it is!

Tbh, I think it's pretty low to criticize Biebs' public behavior (public as in: he's trapped in his role as superstar, forced to interact with people who can't approach him as a normal human being) for not being consistent with his supposed values when you have no idea what he's like behind the curtain. We don't know how he treats his friends, his family. We know how he treats strangers who think they're entitled to bother him during the day because they think they know him and he wants to be bothered by their irrelevant asses. Obviously there's a difference.

Yeah, there is obviously a different. And, to a degree I can sort of respect his decision to just "not care anymore". It does show that he's a human being and that things do get to him.

However, I would have to disagree when you say that it's "pretty low to criticize Bieb's public behavior", as sad as it may be, I think it's fair to do that. He's a public figure, with obviously a lot of influence. While yes, we will never what what it's like to be him and to go through what he's gone through, he's in the public eye for literally everyone to see. Not saying he has an obligation to do/say certain things, but when you're in the public eye, you're going to get judged, regardless. That's just the way it is.

But how can you say all that, and be aware of all that, and still judge him That's just insanity. But obviously I get it. I just don't think the arguments are solid, and I like to point that out

But to repeat, your argument about there being a disconnect between what he preaches and what he does is the best one I've seen here for years

I suppose I still judge him because, like I've said before, he's the only star that I know of to act this way towards his fans, when all other pop stars, and just celebrities in general have all gone through a similar process. But, I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree on this topic

Indeed, but i could understand it because if suddenly tomorrow (well maybe not tomorrow, given the taylor thing but you get it) she started treating fans like bieber does without explanation (which biebs did give) it'd be strange (specially because even during her previous bad times she has not behaved like that)

being a celebrity doesn't suit him except the glamour and money

he finds his fans annoying and doesn't like any interaction, he is so bitter

I get that being human doesn't mean hugging everyone and being nice to fans, but he is not just a regular guy, he is a huge pop star and that comes with an image. If he doesn't care he should just be like Sia and hide behind the curtain or just get out of this industry.

I hate JB but I get that he's struggling like when Zyan was in One Direction and he should just quit

This time, I'll give JB respect. Guys are good with a handshake or fist bump. People aren't entitled to hugs, he's not your father or brother. My bro and dad rarely hugged me and we're related. It's normal for guys, to be more about acknowledged respect than poured out affection for everyone. It's more real that way anyway.
