Some say Christina damaged her voice by singing too high (almost screaming) while others suggest to avoid singing with a low larynx. singing in low larynx isn't damaging for the voice. It just can give a weird tone if it's over done. Gaga is not dragging her larynx down (she would sound like kermit then), she's just lowering it a bit to make her belt sound fuller and richer. Christina damaged her voice because she raised her larynx. During her prime and on a good vocal day, she hits a A4 perfectly without raising the larynx but starts raising it at about a D5. On really bad Vocal Days in 2012 - 2014, she couldn't even hit an A4 without raising the larynx. That puts pressure on the vocal chords which could cause damage that can't be fixed. ⟡ ⋆ ˚。⋆🦢⋆ ˚。⋆⟡
