I don't know. I still feel upset that Gaga put herself into all of this mess. She could've prevent it. She supposedly is the kind of person that always give writing credits when it's due. She must knew she wasn't that involved in the writing process to be credited as a main writer and be nominated for Oscars etc. Why exposing yourself into all of this drama? It was so unnecessary. 

Only last year she won the first ever Contemporary Icon Award for her writing skills. I know she could snatch an Oscar/Emmy nom without forcing it by saying half truths and let herself be exposed by other salty artists. it wasn't her time just yet.

I think Diane did that to get more of a shot at being nominated for awards, and winning From interviews and statements and the way things unfolded it seems like Diane was really semi-obsessed with getting an Oscar specifically (and they don't use cue sheets, so Gaga would've been nominated automatically, and perhaps faster if she was credited main writer?), so I dunno.. strategically it makes sense, but I can't tell if Gaga would've agreed with that or would've rolled her eyes but said yes anyway because she supported Diane

I'm hoping into this theory not only because it kinda makes sense for Diane but also to not lose my faith in Gaga and all the things she keep saying about being honest with your work etc.

I guess these awards snubs at least will serve for her as a lesson to not let herself go into the hype train and let  people around her push her to do what they want her to do in order to accomplish their own goals. Maybe the writing credit deal (I wrote the song / your brand name promotes it, both wins) could be considered as a favor to help a friend (Diane) to reach its desperately needy Oscars but now mostly Gaga is paying the price for it by putting her own credibility in doubt.
