LebaneseDude 6,146
Via The Guardian Bernie Sanders has been invited to continue his underdog bid for the White House by the Green party’s probable presidential candidate, who has offered to step aside to let him run. Jill Stein, who is expected to be endorsed at the party’s August convention in Houston, told Guardian US that “overwhelming” numbers of Sanders supporters are flocking to the Greens rather than Hillary Clinton. Stein insisted that her presidential bid has a viable “near term goal” of reaching 15% in national polling, which would enable her to stand alongside presumptive nominees Clinton and Donald Trump in televised election debates. But in a potentially destabilising move for the Democratic party, and an exciting one for Sanders’ supporters, the Green party candidate said she was willing to stand aside for Sanders. “I’ve invited Bernie to sit down explore collaboration – everything is on the table,” she said. “If he saw that you can’t have a revolutionary campaign in a counter-revolutionary party, he’d be welcomed to the Green party. He could lead the ticket and build a political movement,” she said. Edited just now by LebaneseDude.

ItsTommyBitch 12,640
They need to stop. Bernie is not going to win now, the people have spoken and any chance of Donald Trump winning over Hillary is horrifying and it sounds like this would just push more people to make that possible. I don't buy into that whole "radical change in some direction is better than none" bullshit either Pretty sure he wouldn't say yes as hes smart enough to realize that stopping Trump is currently more important. That just so happens to also mean making Hillary president, so yeah 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
LebaneseDude 6,146
This goes to how much of a fraud Stein is 1) She is outright calling to rig the Green Party primaries by selecting the nominee of their party herself 2) Sanders cannot legally be part of the ballot in many states given that he has already run as a Democrat. Several states also will not allow him to run as a member of a different party in the general. Not to mention he would have an unfair advantage given his access to Democratic resources and that would essentially disqualify him if contested. 3) Sanders has already promised to work against Trump and this would benefit nobody but the Green Party because it would basically exacerbate the situation and make Trump likely to win. This is nothing more but a repeat of Nader. 4) This act goes to show how her priorities are not for the American people given that she's comfortable with a Trump presidency in order to advance the interests of her party by sacrificing the Supreme Court which will essentially hold the USA hostage for a few decades. 5) She is literally abusing Sanders supporters by giving them the belief that this would in any shape or form allow him to be presidency, further showing how much of a selfish fraud she is. The Green Party is the joke of American politics and there's a reason Sanders never ran with them to begin with. "If they cared about the environment, they would invest their money in getting politicians elected at the state and local level, where most laws are actually passed and where they could afford to compete successfully. They would also run candidates against Republicans in uncontested races to provide those voters with a protest option, which would increase their familiarity with their party and the likelihood that they would donate, thereby allowing them to expand your influence. And then they would enter into races at the national level; they wouldn't run a spoiler candidate for President, but would instead work on winning seats in the Senate and the House. Then they would have a real seat at the table. And they would actually get **** done. They're just attention whores and anyone who still believes Jill Stein is a genuine person after this is an easily manipulated and gullible fool. Edited just now by LebaneseDude. That just so happens to also mean making Hillary president, so yeah Forget all of that. Don't you love how HILARIOUSLY ironic this is in that she has repeated the lies of Hillary rigging the election, while ultimately doing the very same thing by ignoring the results of the Green Party primaries and choosing to pass the baton to Bernie? Man how can anyone support this woman. She has neither integrity nor competence. She KNOWS Bernie will not accept this but she's doing it for the press. This is straight out of the GOP playbook. She has spent 15 years losing elections. She'll continue to fail because she's a fraud. I only posted this because I thought the Elections subforum could use some humor. Apparently some people still believe in her Edited just now by LebaneseDude.

You more than anyone should know that words mean little when there are no actions to back them up. You hear what they say about Palestinians and wanting "peace" but know that it's bullshit when they have no history of actually making it happen. Anyone can have an appealing foreign policy plan. She has literally no experience holding office, basic questions on AMA reddit posts have shown that she is incompetent when it comes to political knowledge, and she has absolutely no foreign policy background. You're basically saying she should be president because she said nice things. Rational people don't elect presidents because they say nice things. They elect presidents because they are confident that they will make those things happen to the best of their ability Jill Stein hasn't even exhibited any ability. So pardon me if I call her supporters gullible fools for believing that she would be a good president. Also pardon me if I find it offensive that you are making an implication that Hillary is a bad one. It's MY opinion and given that I didn't address you personally you can choose to apply it to yourself or not. Edited just now by LebaneseDude.
