They're not exactly high quality shows, more akin to independently made brainrot, but as an enjoyer of Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, and the Amazing Digital Circus I avoid comment sections and fan spaces like the plague

Honestly Game of Thrones/ASOIAF fandoms, once it got to about 2017/18 it became unbearable to be in the fanbase. 

I also hate when cartoons suddenly have massively millennial adult fanbases with Peter Pan syndrome.

Ruined in the sense that I've never felt compelled to check it out, have never seen more than a few minutes of the show and don't want to: Doctor Who, Supernatural, Sherlock (goddamn I hated them on tumblr lmao)

Yes, everyone & their mother has seen the movie (except @Economy, apparently) & a lot of them remember it fondly/revisit occasionally around Halloween...

but HARDCORE Hocus Pocus fans are some of the weirdest/most annoying/cringiest people on earth (with the exception of @NUTELLA, of course )

In addition to being weird, however, a lot of those people are also intensely deluded with their view(s) of the film.

In certain online spaces, seeing even the sanest among them pine so desperately for a THIRD film (& more specifically... for the return of the original protagonists) makes me want to tear down curtains & flip tables

Yes, the hype for the 2022 sequel was so, SO much fun while it lasted/ramped up... but then the product inevitably left a stench on the memories of the beloved original.

Most of us pretend it doesn't exist now.

Imo, TRUE fans of HP know that the magic is the nostalgia of it, not the further exploration of its characters (as fun as that is to daydream about/mull over).

❌ No, a sequel was never needed (HP2 is non-canonical, as far as I'm concerned... as lame as that feels to say about a sequel to a nineties disney halloween movie)

❌ No, Kenny Ortega would not have made a better sequel if he had returned to direct

❌ No, seeing Max, Dani & Allison come back would not have saved the sequel...  it would have been even more depressing than seeing the present-day lead actresses cosplaying in cheap imitations of their original costumes/wigs

I know a lot of Hocus Pocus superfans are "weirdos" 

....but can't they at least be sensible/realistic weirdos?
