It spent 34 consecutive weeks at the top of the European Top 100 Albums chart, longer than any other album in history." "It became the world's top-selling album of 1986, as well as the best-selling album of the 1980s by a female artist. With estimated sales of over 25 million copies worldwide, True Blue remains one of the best-selling albums of all time. [...] True Blue is credited as being the album which established Madonna's position as the biggest female artist of the 1980s, rivaling male musicians Michael Jackson and Prince." Fun fact! "True Blue" was recorded while Gaga was inside Cynthia's womb. "When is the baby coming?" said a woman at Cynthia's baby shower. "Soon," whispered the fetus. "True Blue" spawned five successful singles: The lead single, "Live to Tell", was released on March 26, 1986 -- two days before Gaga was born. My favorite track is Live to Tell, a beautiful song that really touches my heart. this is one of my 3 favorite albuma from the Queen. True Blue is perfection. Her look slayed, her music was sublime, and its just such an amazing fun free album! I literally feel like I'm living in the 80s when I play it! The title track is one of my favorite Madonna songs, Live to Tell gives me chills, while White Heat reminds me how tough it is to love. Ugh, I can't say a bad thing about it.
