I think before anyone can advocate or enforce torture policies, they need to go through it first themselves.

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

It's funny when people say "Oh it'd be worse if you got killed by ISIS than your luxury living here in the U.S.". The statement doesn't hold much water when a lot of the people here make this place such a living hell that some people feel like death is a preferable option

So torturing people is only okay when we do it? Ok.

No no no. We are a civilized society and even if someone murders people, we do not torture. It is a sick and twisted practice and won't do much good in the end for anyone involved.

And America has done some pretty terrible things to the world AND the people that live there. I want us to become a better CIVILIZED nation.

I don't disagree. Water boarding is not considered torture under law, and it's really not that harsh.

All my fraternity friends have been waterboarded lol. It's not that big of a deal.

The entire point of torture is to make people threatened with death without actually killing them.

You're literally ****ing with someone's brain to make them feel like they're drowning, after choking them with water.

Waterboarding can cause extreme pain, dry drowning, damage to lungs, brain damage from oxygen deprivation, other physical injuries including broken bones due to struggling against restraints, lasting psychological damage, and death.

How is that not torture?

By law it's not torture, but if you're going to commit an act of terrorism to kill innocent people, I don't care if our investigators start by cutting a few fingers off before they even ask the first question tbh.

If a group of people kills gays, drowns people in oceans, beheads people, and have no respect for women them yes of course we should torture these disgusting people. It makes no sense not to, you can't be nice to these animals that call themselves ISIS.

No one said anything about being nice

But stupping down to their level because they do it has got to be the dumbest justification ever

clearly humanity and civilization hasnt gone past pre-historic times of instead of thinking were by emotion just retributing what they do.

Thats vengeful thinking not so much justice
