Catholic Church is more or less a 2000 yrs old institution, for better or worse you cant expect THAT much change at once. Once they finally manage to properly open up to LGBT people change will be quicker but i'd say we are still 100 yrs away from that

Perhaps i should have added quotations marks to "burning fags" to show is not something i feel but something people who DO feel like that would say. However looking at your post history you seem quite bigoted, disrespectful and confrontational when it comes to opinions differing from yours (which is the actual cause of "religious" conflicts, not religion itself) so i doubt you would have gotten it anyway or that you would have cared (after all you didnt even bother to actually argue back my statement)

Really wish you good luck at avoiding contact with a big chunk of history, architecture, sculpture, painting, music, film, culture/art overall and Gaga's instagram though.

Yáll want all or nothing, and thats why noone likes us -_-. you really cant expect the Pope to come out and say "hey people, lets forget everythng weve told you, fudge the bible, fudge everything, lets take gays in" do you have any idea how the world would react? people would even ask for his resignation and call him names like the antichrist or something, things dont work that way.

Statements like this are actually HUGE and will have a tremendous impact in the long run, just like with the government, politicians talking about marriage equality and stuff were seen as a joke, and look where we are now,

Like I get that you have grudges against the Church but you rebuking steps they take, no matter how small, isn't helping out.

There ARE people trying to change the Church for the good and there are good men within the institution that follow the example set by Pope Francis 

Again, this isn't just one person we're talking about--millions of people spanning millenia and nations and cultures have adhered to this set of beliefs. If you think any change is going to happen overnight
