No—I said there would be major riots if the government chose to ignore the results of the referendum.

Still applies. We'll see how that works out for you. Don't get your hopes up.

Dozens of articles popping up about Scotland decisively choosing to Remain and being potentially ripped out of the EU against its will :rip:

The UK is ****ed.

Fascinating how the biggest cities such as London, Glasgow, and Edinburgh all voted to Remain.

People in big cities are more used to getting along with a diverse population perhaps.  Most big cities in America lean left too.

Back to studying now. Woke up to this at 5AM  not good. Knowing my geography teacher, he'll probably give a bonus question about this referendum on the test :laughga:

Anyways. Looking on the bright side:

- EU will finally become a military and foreign policy union

- deeper EU integration is expected

- more left-wing EU policy is expected

- less far-right influence in European Parliament

- a new state, Scotland, is to be added to our maps.

- economic arguments of EU opponents to be refuted in the coming months.

You just tried to say that Clinton was somhow more moral because of the AMOUNT she's lied to the American public. Just because they both do it doesn't make it okay in any context. They're both shoddy candidates.

They're also political and economic centers that tend to have more understanding of what such decisions entail.

People from cities are also more likely to be educated.

There are a breadth of reasons.

Not really. The Scots (Glasgow & Edinburgh) are trying to rebel by voting against the English + London has basically become Islamistan. Anyhow, no1curr, the English have decided: GOODBYE, EU!

Bernie has lied 29% of the time. Was he a shoddy candidate?

Gary Johnson has 33% lies. Is he a bad one too?

Wish I had one on Jill Stein but she's irrelevant.

Lying does not make one immoral, just like telling your kids white lies to make them feel better does not make a parent immoral.

Sometimes lies can be justified, but only when not abused.

To somehow make a claim that the amount of lies someone says has no bearing on their trustworthiness is as puritanical an outlook as it can come.

Step off the pedestal.

It's in part because intelligent people are more likely to vote remain, and unintelligent people are more likely to fall for the right-wing rhetorics. Cities are always more progressive climates.

Now that's when it's becoming interesting. Who the British will blame for their bad policies now that the EU scapegoat can't be used anymore :laughga:

I think (at least in my view) Bernie's mostly consistent viewpoints over the years cancel out his sometimes stretching the truth. While he's flopped on some things (like gay marriage), his core ideology has remained the same since his youth, which you can't really argue for Clinton when she was a self-described "Goldwater girl."

For sure they know how it will affect their businesses. Now people don't see how the EU invest in the UK or even through subvention but when universities and such won't get funding anymore, when they won't be able to hire highly qualified EU citizens for jobs and when companies will go to other European hot spot maybe they'll realize...

His core ideology has definitely not remained the same. He's still relatively extreme but nowhere near his youth.

The shift was hardly incomparable to that of Clinton. She switched from Republican very quickly into her career in the 1960s. One can easily use that as a justification for her using her experiences to shape her opinions as opposed to stubbornness.
