I'm so stressed out over this and I don't even live there. The global repercussions of either decision are gonna suck.  :saladga:

i mean... it's slowly been dropping to 51% plus the government can actually say no to the result if they want :laughga:

Can you call it "extremist" when half of the population supports it? And leaving a politico-economic union is not exactly the same as, say, religious fundamentalism.

It's an extreme reaction. I've looked at the reasons for Brexit and none of them have any viable rationale behind them beyond "being done with it".

That's the sort of behavior exhibited by Trump supporters.

They'd rather face gross uncertainty in the face of downright dubious odds just to "stick it" to politics.

That's not a good reason for anything.

That would never happen, there would be a complete falling apart of the government and country :air:. The 2011 riots and what English fans have been doing in France would be nothing on the scale of the rage :air:

If the result is within an insignificant margin (~1%) then I don't see how this vote would be binding, especially on something at this scale.

It's a warning sign though.  Everything is pointing to this world rolling back the clock on progress.  Build a wall!  Leave the EU!  Ban the Muslims...unless they kill gays maybe!  Let the immigrants drown!   Police the bathrooms!   It just feels like we are reverting to something.....something more primitive.

They do say that humanity/history is cyclical. We do learn from our mistakes, but we fail to apply them to the new situations we face. Ironic considering critical reasoning is such a key part of education these days

Another middle finger to the establishment! That's what they get for selling out western civilization to multinationals and the Islam. Bye, European Union! Clinton is next to get the BOOT!
