Guest
Supernature by Goldfrapp: a sultry blend of glam-rock, disco and electro-pop. Came out more than a decade ago and I'm still not sick of it. Heroes by David Bowie: experimental and sonically unique. This album, Low and Lodger are Bowie's greatest masterpieces in my opinion. Cross by Justice: at this point it's clear they'll never make another album that good, but I'll always be grateful to them for this one. This is another album that came out forever ago and that I still listen to regularly. It is one of the best albums ever produced by French DJs. Born This Way by Lady Gaga: there's a couple of clunkers on that album, not going to lie. But the message, the retrofuturistic sound, the risks she took, the different genres she tried... it's amazing how varied yet cohesive this is. It came out at a time of my life when I needed it. It was the soundtrack of my darkest times. It filled me with hope and lifted my spirit, helped me find the strength to continue until things got better. This is an important album for me. It made me a Gaga fan. Heavy Metal Lover, Sheisse, Government Hooker, Bloody Mary, etc. are some of the best songs Gaga has ever recorded and some of the most interesting pop songs of the last decade. Confessions On a Dance Floor by Madonna: fantastic album. An electropop journey. One of those albums I can listen to all day long. It fits so many of my moods. I don't even think it's her best but it's my personal favorite. Honorable mentions: The rest of Goldfrapp's discography. Ray Of Light and American Life by Madonna (and a ton of other stuff from her discography tbh) Hunky Dory by Bowie Flesh Tone by Kelis 4 and BEYONCE by Beyoncé Born To Die: Paradise Edition by Lana Del Rey Discovery by Daft Punk (the album of my childhood / early adolescence) Vespertine and Homogenic by Björk Plastic Beach and Demon Days by Gorillaz And so many others...
