There's a recent documentary about it showing real footage, if you want to check it out (and be horrified). It's called ChemSex.

As @ryanripley says, a description would be "sex under the influence of drugs or chemicals", but referring to it as ChemSex is more of a life-style. We're not talking about coke-induced sex from the 70s. ChemSex is an obscure but large culture of daily drug-use that specifically makes you horny. On the right cocktail you'll literally want to walk outside onto a busy street and start F-cking a random person.

I saw that documentary a few months ago, it was horrifying, I'm not even being dramatic it truly is. I think its important that more young gay guys are aware of the dangers involved in Chemsex (see above article, for instance) so I'm glad it was made, its a huge issue. For those of you who are unaware, I'm almost positive that if you have been on grindr you would of seen things like "P&P or H&H" (Party and play, high and horny) these are to let people know that they're having chemsex sessions. 

The dangers are that if you decide to engage in this sort of sex, under the influence of these particular drugs, you do not have ANY inhibitions you fail to judge a situation as you normally would and many have found them selves in real danger. There are men who go to these session knowing the have HIV, don't have protected sex and infect others, there are a small minority who WANT to be infected so they don't need to be concerned anymore. Its insanity, truly sad and very worrying.

Gay men, including myself, must realise that we have a risk-and-reward seeking behaviour that can potentially manifest itself in increased violence. Like suicide, S&M and bareback sex.
