Finally found the missing link of my first play-throughs team. Their theme is a girl group, and their names are based on females from Ghibli movies.

Oricorio (the Psychic one/holding out for the Purple Nectar) AKA Kaguya

I love them all so much, and they are an incredibly well-rounded team. Which is saying a lot for me, seeing as I always just use my favorite Pokemon and not necessarily competitive types (although it correlates in some cases with a lot of my favorites, such as Scizor) but I'm really feeling this team. My post-game team may consist of Toxapex and Oranguru, not sure of the other 4 just yet or what their theme will be. Might continue the Ghibli motif though since it's one I haven't really ever used before (why it's taken me so long, I'll never know).  

Currently on Poni Island, just beat Hapu. Going to take it slow from here on out, I'd like to refrain from beating the main game for another week if I can help it.

I think I have it now  Brb catching 5 Pokemon, although I have no idea when I'll get to hatch them because 5 is a lot and I need that space in my party, and I'd rather mass-hatch

The nursery does something previous games have never done. Unlike the previous games, if you have a Full party and the Nursery Girl has a Egg for you, it'll automatically be deposited into your PC. 

Im shook, shaken' and stirred.  Gamefreak making all these wishlist changes come true. 

OMG WHAT They're saving us sooo much time in the long run, things will be so much more efficient now

She has Leaf Guard, so Toxic didn't work. 

I tried setting her up with Mareanie: Toxic + Venoshock and she just Solar Bladed all 6 of my Pokemon. And whatever Pokemon survived were taken out by Castform's (Fire) Weather ball. 

Even my Salandit died with one Solar Blade- I think she landed a crit. 

 

I read a lot about people struggling with Wishiwashi and Lurantis, but since I took out Wishiwashi without any issues, I figured I wouldn't have an issue with the latter. I was wrong.

Strange, my Lurantis didnt.  Toxic was the only way I killed her in my game. Stalled her out as long as I could until she started spamming Synthesis to offset the toxic damage.

Wait I just read the description for Leaf Guard: 

Prevents the Pokémon from receiving status conditions during strong sunlight. 

 

That explains it. I should have used Toxic right at the beginning.
