I would say they're just as worth the money as any other Pokemon game  don't buy it unless you're willing to devote hours and hours to playing and enjoying all the features. Otherwise you won't get your money's worth.

However, I've thoroughly enjoyed having Moon, mostly due to GGD's Pokemon threads and tournaments 

Another idea would be to wait for the D&P remakes...we all know they're coming  they'll have every S&M feature and probably have other things...like move tutors.

Definitely! They're possibly the most fun ones we've ever had, they've made so many great changes but it's still the same enough to keep it accessible to long time fans, but different enough to shake people with excitement

Then they are worth it  I hadn't played Pokemon in ages until I bought Pokemon X like a year ago and, while it was fun, it didn't feel that great. Today I started replaying it and I'm actually enjoying all the features, as you said, and it's much more fun, so I guess I was just dumb not to do that the first time  

I can only afford one and I'll probably get Moon, it just sounds cooler 

Is that official though?  And S&M?

It's not but they've remade gen 1-3 so 4 is pretty much a given

Aside from a ton of new pokemon, there's new battle mechanics, some older moves have been made stronger, and mega pokemon are a lot harder to get. You can't just find their stones, you have to buy them for 64 BP each and not all of them are available.

Some pokemon have been nerfed to be more balanced (poor Darkrai ) while others have been made stronger (Alolan Marowak>).

The PSS is now the "Festival Plaza" which allows you to do everything the PSS did but you also have access to shops where you can train pokemon, dye clothes with berries, play the lotto, etc.

The battle tree is the replacement for the Battle Maison and Battle Frontier and it totally cheats  there's also battle royals now which are kind of fun once you get the hang of them.

Of course I'm missing a lot of things but those are a couple things that stand out  something to note, due to the GTS, version exclusive pokemon don't really matter so the only real difference between Sun and Moon is the legendary pokemon you have access to, the fact that Moon's day/night cycle is reversed, and there's different clothes in each (Moon is much darker with blues, greens, and purples while Sun have reds, yellows, oranges, etc). So yeah, if you really care it might be worth looking into those tiny details but they don't really affect anything

The whole thing about gym badges has been thrown out the window which is the biggest change after like almost 20 years  There are different islands and each island has trials, some more and some less. They're way more engrossing in my opinion, it's not about going to a new city and going to a gym, it's about going to a new island and tackling the trials it has to offer and it just makes the characters and everything feel way more important and interesting  The fact that HM slaves aren't needed anymore is also huge in my opinion

Hi, I recently finished the games and I'm doing the battle tree now.

I was wondering if there are any Sun players that are interested in trading a perfect IV Alolan-Ninetales (5IVs, attack is not necessary) with a timid nature, with an Alolan-Sandslash?

You can tell me what nature you'd like.

I didn't start breeding yet so it might take a while but I really want to make a hail team with aurora veil for doubles and Ninetales is a key component.

Heya !

It's been awfully a while since I've been to this site and my apologies for my sudden short leave.
Everything's been hectic since my time's been demanded for certain things in my university but believe me, I wanted to let you guys know beforehand however I had too much on my plate to even remember that I'm part of an underground cult named GGD. I had to throw a lot of things out the window since everything had been fast-paced and sudden.

Anyway, I had my first Work & Travel in California for almost 2 months and it was offered to me & a few of my classmates for FREE by a sponsoring hotel. It was a "take it or leave it" sort of thing since its all on short notice. Of course, I didn't let that opportunity slip by especially when they already even made arrangements for the place where we're gonna stay in California.

Here's the thing though, I COULD HAVE brought my 3DS (and laptop) along with me, but I slept late the night before my flight and I didn't put them in my luggage yet since I was massacring my way up to the Battle Tree. And because I didn't want to miss my flight, I had to step up my pace faster than you can say Ferrari but that led me to forget my game just lying there on my bed before I dashed my way to the airport.

However, I have no excuse for forgetting the forums I actively visit on a daily basis. I worked as one of the Front Office staff in Ayres Hotel back in CA, and it was quite draining to a point where at the end of the day the only thing I entertain myself with is Facebook and youtube on my phone shortly before going to sleep. I have to admit, I had a blast despite the working hours. The guests weren't that hard to deal with anyway since I've dealt worse. And I had to stick with my classmates as much as possible since they're the only people I know on the other side of the world. 

So yeah that basically explains my disappearance. I hope you guys are doing fine with your games.

Nintendo are sneaky fvcks. They dropped a New Nintendo 2DS XL out of the blue like they did with ORAS. I'm not trying to connect the dots here lol but my point is that they could be announcing the next games suddenly to mercilessly blow our balls (the Pokemon thread version of weave ) off.
