Hackers Hit Tame Impala, Keith Richards, Bon Iver and Tenacious D's Twitter

Hackers hit a number of prominent musician's Twitter accounts over the weekend, claiming Tenacious D's Jack Black had died, posting a bomb threat on Tame Impala's account and a false cancer rumor on Bon Iver's feed. Keith Richards' account was also hacked.

At press time all the accounts had been restored, but the breaches caused plenty of confusion over the weekend. As reported by the NME, Tame Impala's account briefly featured an airline bomb threat posted to Jet Blue airlines' feed that read, "I HAVE 15 C4’S IN MY BAG AND 12 PIPEBOMBS IN MY BAG ALSO." Band leader Kevin Parker had not reacted to the hack at press time.

On Sunday, the administrator of Richard's account acknowledged that a series of "hateful tweets" about had been removed, and that other accounts had been compromised. The tweets reportedly included threats about "blowing up planes" and claims that "I love killing people and blowing **** up." 

Earlier today Keith’s Twitter account was hacked along with other verified accounts. The hateful tweets that were posted have been removed.

The hacking apparently happen after LinkedIn passwords dump.

Like, even Mark Zuckerberg got hacked too, and he own a social media giant which always reminds its user for different passwords than another account they have. Ironic.
