i know it feels wrong to say she needs him. she is an artist herself after all and we all know that gaga is the magic redone productions need.

but just think about venus for example - great lyrics, great idea, great artwork, yet its production is a mess at best. and thats why it tanked.

imagine redone produced venus ...  and maybe g.u.y. too - those two songs would still be same regarding their artistic message, but they'd be way more catchy and possibly huge hits.

I would take Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker over RedOne for LG5 any day :awkney:

I don't care if the album flops commercially. As long as the music is good, I really don't care.

RedOne is the MAIN reason why she is this big weather you like it or not.

:awkney:

Because he's the designer of all her weird costumes that made her famous back in 2008, because he's the one delivering all the out-of-the-box performances back in 2009, because he's the one who sang all her songs, because he's the one who wrote and produce all of her huge hits?

Yes, he did play a large role in her initial success but stop belittling her efforts. If she didn't have RedOne, she still would've written her huge hits (he admitted she only places him on the writing credits because that way, he'll get more royalties than producing credits), she still would've had the extravagant costumes that tabloids talked about, she still would've created amazing music videos, she still would've served incredible live performances. She's the main reason why he's this big.

He's done.

The best artists, some of whom inspired Gaga the most, knew you need to reinvent yourself if you want to stay ahead of the curve. If you are too deeply planted in a particular musical movement, once its popularity wanes, so will yours. Bowie went from Brian Eno to Nile Rodgers. Madonna from William to Mirwais to Stuart Price, etc...

But according to this fanbase, Gaga has to stay on the same producer's **** for all of eternity. Like that's gonna grant her a sustainable career LMAO.

At times I feel like the idea that she'll ~slay~....but only if RedOne is producing is almost akin to carrying a rabbit's foot for luck, or avoiding stepping on cracks in its ideology. Just as there are no guarantees in life, there are no guarantees that a RedOne produced single will be as successful as previous efforts from 8 years ago. It's ok if people genuinely enjoy RedOne's music, but I personally can't be sad about music that I haven't even heard.

I also feel like people don't want to see Gaga do different things and want to re-live The Fame and The Fame Monster - which is impossible. That was a moment in time. Why should she try to recapture something that can't be recaptured? It's like when Gwen Stefani put out that 2014 retread of Hollaback Girl instead of being bold and changing things up. It's far more interesting to see Gaga explore different sounds, and work with different people that might bring out new ideas in her.

She needs him honey.

RedOne makes these club bops. And it's so stupid to say that he didn't have hit without her. Starships, Pound The Alarm, On The Floor, Papi, I Like It and more say hi!

And I some people on this forum...:saladga:

"REDONE IS DATED!!!!1*" "SHE NEEDS TO EVOLVE" "FRESH SOUND MOMMA"

While calling Born This Way fresh when she tried to deliver that 80s sound.

Also Ronson's sound is 60s and 70s rip off

So educate yourself before you say these nonsenses :madge:

There's no dated music.

literally this.

Tired af to see she needs to EVOLVE so she should work with Mark Ronson :air:

And how exactly do you know that she will evolve with him and she's not gonna release an uptown funk 2 or another dated song? Right, you don't know ****.

Their chemistry is yet to be seen whereas we've already seen what she and RedOne can make together. Remember how she EVOLVED from Just Dance to Bad romance with RedOne?

Now take a seat y'all and stop the nonsense with this "evolve" crap.

Everyone needs to stop acting like RedOne = guaranteed hit. Her last single with him was Judas, and though I love it, it barely scraped one week in the top ten.

Nothing is certain and Gaga has so much control that she will always be the driving force behind her music. Why can't y'all trust in her ability to write a great song instead of thinking she needs a man to come in and do all the work for her :saladga:

It's not about saying you want RedOne on the record, it's about the people saying she NEEDS him and that she's incapable of scoring hits with anyone else. Gaga can write a hit song and Mark Ronson can write a hit song. We have no idea what the album will sound like... The songs could be bigger than JD/PF/BR for all we know. There's no use in having a meltdown over it already.

!!!!!

If this was 1997, and we were sitting here stanning for Madonna instead of Gaga, I can't even imagine how many people would flip a **** once they heard about the direction Ray of Light was going in and who the producers were, and demanding another Material Girl etc.

Like I said before, no one can really guarantee anything, this could be good, or could end up eh. Either way, she must freshen things up, and I'd rather not see her become creatively stagnant because she's one of the boldest pop stars out there right now.

Yeeeesssss! :applause:

And you're right it could end up bad, but I agree that I'd rather her try and switch it up. In decades time I wanna be able to look back at her discography and appreciate how diverse it was.
