I liked Lydia and think she should have reached the final but that doesn't mean she deserves to take a hop skip and jump from reality show semi finalist to lead female vocals for one of the biggest bands on the planet. Will has never delivered on any promises that he made for any of his previous representatives on The Voice. He told Leah McFall he was going to make her into a big star but she's still yet to release a debut album (the most he gave her was a replacement on the vocals for Bang Bang). He never tried with any of his previous acts either. So, how can he suddenly pay them dust but give Lydia the biggest chance without her having to work for it? That's not fair on his other acts. Will just doesn't think how stuff will look and sound. When Lydia sang the duet with him on the show of his new single, he said she was so good, he'd happily put her vocals on the track instead. Can you imagine how that made Pia Mia (the original vocalist) feel? He then announced after she hadn't made it through to the final that he'd promised a free concert with her in London that night if she won but even though she didn't, it was still happening (can you imagine how that made the actual finalists feel to have their moment overshadowed like that?) Now it looks as if he's potentially considering letting her be as part of his band (can you imagine how that makes Fergie feel, whose relationship with the band goes way back?) Lydia's very talented but she hasn't earned this chance. This could make the BEP comeback fail massively because fans can't connect with the new new addition or don't like her. Will likes to think he's ahead of the curve but all he does these days is either follow what everyone else is doing (abandoning urban for dance and now going back to urban again) or makes wild promises without thinking them through (every Voice contestant he's ever had).
