Not every rich person is some evil old man hoarding money. If you have worked hard to make that kind of money you should not have to lose OVER HALF of it to the government. I believe the rich should be taxed more, but I also believe there should be a final cap on how much a person should pay.

I'm not saying they're evil. I'm saying their banks are piling up massive amounts of money and it's literally so unnecessary. The mJority of the population live paycheck to paycheck because they're being taxed as harshly as These rich people. And to us it matters, and it forces us to live under poor conditions, but to them it's nothing. They can afford it. They don't need that much money when there is such a poverty and wealth distribution issue in our country.

I'm no stranger to not having money, when I was younger my family didn't even make enough money to fall into any UK tax bracket... I think the poor should be taxed less, the rich taxed more, but caps in place on how much you end up paying. I don't think that is unreasonable If a person makes $100m in a year, like Gaga can do, they shouldn't pay out over $50,000,000 in income tax. It would still leave the person with a lot of money, but the feelings of losing that much money overweighs everything else.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I've mulled over it the past few months as Bernie's chances grew grimmer and grimmer. Trump horrifies me, he does... but I refuse to be help hostage by him and be forced into the corner with a woman I see as supercilious and corrupt. The system we have is what has produced Trump, and I don't want to buy into that same system by voting for somebody I do not want. Isn't that what voting is supposed to be? Voting for the candidate you see as best fit to run the country? I do not believe Hillary Clinton is the best fit to run the country. If literally everybody else in the race aside from Clinton and Trump miraculously dropped out and left them solo, then (and only then) would I vote for Clinton. Unless that happened, there are superior options.

I understand the stakes. Trump would be a complete disaster. I refuse to violate my beliefs in order to prevent the greater evil. If I have my personal rights stripped as a result, so be it. I understand others don't want that, and that's fine. Perfectly understandable. Personally, I disagree and will be voting my conscience.

Haha. Well I'll just never defend these rich people or care about their wealth when I'll most likely never see a fraction of their money in my lifetime

Don't worry about those that say they'll vote for Jill over Hillary. It's a VERY VERY VERY small segment of ALL of Bernie supporters. This happens EVERY SINGLE election cycle. The Hillary supporters in 08 refused to vote for Obama and it was going to cost him the election. Guess what? Well you know...

Sometimes you have to make sacrifices, even going against your beliefs for the greater good (or at least the lesser evil).

I'm literally voting for Clinton in November just because she isn't Trump. When she's president I will be criticizing her left and right. She isn't my choice but it's the ONLY choice we have at this point. 

Not that my vote will matter much anyway since I live in Texas which will probably stay red and Trump will win, or who knows we might be in for a surprise.

Exactly. The majority of people who will actually spend the time and effort to vote will vote for one of the main two candidates. Let the small percentage go vote for a third party. There has always been these types...every election. 

I hope we don't end up with a Gore/Bush situation, but if we do...we do. Then we will have Trump and a Republican Congress. Won't that be fun!

No. I'd rather see a third party win some electoral college points, finally proving themselves than vote Hillary. Unless Warren is her vice, I ain't voting Hilldog (I can't vote actually but I'm speaking as if I could)

I'm going to take the time to vote lol that doesn't make any sense... it's like you're knocking Bernie supporters for being lazy and not turning out to vote, but immediately after say "Let the small percentage go vote for a third party." So which is it? Do we not put an effort into voting? What isn't fun is having an oligarchy instead of a democracy.

And I totally get that and don't blame you for that at all. What I personally hate is the type of people who perpetuate this idea that voting third party is throwing your vote away and it's their fault somebody terrible wins. Maybe if we didn't have such a shitty system in the first place, that wouldn't happen. It just continues the cycle.
