For those who  read the article, the site says that the platform is still up and running and that it has apparently been sold to new investors (i think, that part is a cloudy). 

I've recently become an admin of littlemonsters.com as well as two others, following us being moderators for the past year and a bit. I'm in direct contact with the company, and more. All im saying is that this site and platform certainly isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Littlemonsters.com remains alive and well
