Does anyone here secretly wants Gaga to go back to being 'basic'?

I know many will disagree with me, but deep down a large part of me actually really misses the 'bling' Gaga. The one that makes catchy, ballsy bops about fame, sex and how rich she is all the while wearing her crazy outfits and music videos and going no.1 on the charts and being all over the radio. I mean that was kinda the reason why I became a Gaga stan in the first place. As of now, I feel like it would never happen again, because of how her image changed and all, and I know people were also sick of it by the time ARTPOP came which was why she flopped (honestly with better execution it wouldn't have been like that). Gaga really does have a gift of writing great pop songs, and I really wished she still has that spark in her.

Not that I would want her to stop what she loves doing, it's just that it almost feels like a completely different person by now tbh. Every time just someone writes a thread about how LG5 wouldn't have dance songs, would not have songs about sex and all, or how heavily involved Mark Ronson is, I just kinda feel like crying, because it just makes me feel more and more that like...Gaga is dead. It's just Stefani now. 

I mean this is just my honest opinion, not to hate on her or anything. Does anyone else share the same feeling here?

I want the Gaga that is able to do a catchy pop song and then sit on a piano amd play a ballad that will tear your soul away

I didn't mind the lyrical content. It's the production and execution that makes it sound tacky and uninspiring after a while.

IDK what is but ARTPOP just didn't work for me.

The first reaction when I heard the album in full I was like, it feels like The Fame 2.0

It could probably also be because the whole album is EDM dance music my ears get tired of it really fast (that's the problem of EDMs, you can't listen to it on repeat)

Completely. When I saw her birthday photos with celebs she maybe tweeted ONCE  I thought who are you and since when did you care about these people? I lowkey wish she never moved to LA

Same. I think that's why she's trying live instruments this go around. The only song that doesn't make me tired is Applause, and it's sad because it's probably my least favorite on the album.

I miss the chart slayage and commercial success, but i won't change TEOG/MTN/DWUW for, idk, Poker Face. 

And i think that everyone misses that too. If she makes a song as deep/emotional as MTN and it ends up being a WW smash, you wouldn't say this
