If anything that is more reason to be happy! Because people would be accepting her and her art for what it is, and for what she truly wants it to be. Which is so much more beautiful than people accepting music that she wrote and changed with the intent of it selling well.

This is why when C2C did well, better than she expected, and her fans still came to shows even though it was fricken jazz music, she was absolutely thrilled. Because she did what she wanted, without worrying about the repercussions, and the risk paid off and people loved her for it! That's why she loved that era so much. That's why it revitalised her spirits.

I understand what your saying, but I guess she's creating the music she believes in and not writing with the intentions of it being a chart topper, I don't think she's ever thought like that, but obviously she does think ooh that's catchy, I think we should change this as it sounds better and the hope that she wants it to do well. If she believes in her music and think it's good then it will sell well, tbh I don't care what she's does cause I will always be a fan. Everyone will always want their work to be received well. I'm not hating as I agree with what you say mostly, thanks

I just finished watching this + the SXSW concert and keynote and I'm feeling heartbroken. It reminded me why I fell in love with her during ARTPOP and not during any other era of her career.

It also raises the questions why so many people here keep on insisting and dreaming she'd return to TF/TFM style when she made it clear so many times she is done with it.  Even with ARTPOP, bearing many similarities to TF/TFM thematically, she tried to push much more the audience. Hell, ARTPOP is the result of her not wanting to conform to the image she created in the first place.

On Topic:  This is a very good interview.  Then again, all of the interviews she did during the C2C era were awesome.
