I'm sure it'll have dance and disco.

Though by the time it's released it will probably be considered classical :air:

Whether Gaga wants to admit it her not, pop music made her famous. While it is fantastic for her to do other things like she has, she needs to respect the impact pop music has had on her life. Without pop music, the Gaga we know today wouldn't exist. Just like without Gaga, we wouldn't have the pop music world we know today.

She's not quitting pop music otherwise she wouldn't have made that joke and tweeted "April Fools" one hour later.

Don't worry PopGa will be back :woohoo:

Pop isnt dance. Adele is classed as pop

I don't care for the music direction as long as it's not rock and hard rock, or punk.

But it I believe there will be electronic music, because of the involvement of RedOne

So negative.

Gaga doesn't care about radio hits. Only people like you do.

Gaga wants her music to have a life-changing impact on people. You will rarely get that with a radio hit.

And yes Gaga did predict her rise and fall and rise again in 2009.

Whether you like it or not you have to admit Gaga does care about it. Like @Ronlop said, if it were on the radio it would have impacted more people. If she didn't care she wouldn't have promoted it as much as she did. Obviously she wants a hit, who does not? I think Gaga is just tired of being treated like a machine, like many fans do. And yeah, you can have a life changing song in the radio and how else could you know about the song (if you do not follow her)?

You don't need EDM to make an album full of bops. Disco is at the foundation of uptempo ?

Since when it gotta be EDM for you to dance your ass off to it ? Never, it can be timeless and still be upbeat. "I want your love" is not dance/EDM and it gives me life as a "dance/vogue/walk that runway in your room alone"

Yeah but there is also a lot of evidence pointing toward disco influence or even funk. It doesnt have to be electronic or Edm to be dance or a pop bop. And there is no reason why her new album couldn't have several emo ballads and several uplifting healing danceable pop tracks too. I'm imagining mid tempo personal uplifting songs like TEOG and Gypsy but with more organic and less electronic production.

Maybe she promoted the song because she believes in the message of survivors of sexual abuse standing up for each other? Just a crazy idea.

You're missing @Lesbian's point :rip:

She also emailed radio stations to play TIHTY which further proves she wanted to use the gigantic format that radio is to make an impact and spread the message.

Radio didn't play it as she thought they would, though.

@Lesbian only stated the obvious. Yes of course Gaga wanted TIHTY to be a hit. But why do you think?

Maybe because it spreads awareness about a topic that is hardly spoken about, let alone sung about.

Maybe because it has a message that empowers survivors to come forward and report crimes?

You make it sound like chart success or money was the only goal, which is very one dimensional and shallow of you.

Gaga didn't want it to be successful just for the sake of it. Gosh.

You can have several reasons for doing something you know? Why can't you seem to understand that?

I think we're overthinking things too much this time. Gaga has changed a lot since ARTPOP and now she's said that she's finally doing what she wants and that's true, maybe she does not like pop music as much as she did before but she knows that we do and it's probably why must of us are here, lets not forget that she also thinks about us and what we like hearing BUT off course we should not control her at any time. We're assuming too much things about this album and assuming is not good, mainly because by assuming you're somehow trying to make things a fact while you may not know what things really are. Lets just wait and see what she surprises us with :)

Why would he want a Tapestry kind of album for the next record if it's not something that is already similar to that? He himself said that he heard two tracks: You & I (which is a great song but isn't a dance song) and the 'Bruce Springsteen' song. The fact that he chose to define Bad Romance as a Bruce Springsteen song kind of hints that it won't be full pop but more rock-ish.

Why would he want a Tapestry kind of album if he already heard some of the tracks and they are pop according to you?

He didn't say: "The album is dance-pop but I really want her to make her own version of Tapestry"

No but he also didn't say "it's like her own version of tapestry" so don't cut and paste facts and ignore others. Redone isn't exactly known for his balladry so if he's still on the record expect at least 2-3 dance songs

Lol what? :rip:

Of course she did it to spread awareness. I didn't even argue on that.
