Is Gaga becoming too much of a downer?

I share your point but that's so selfish.

You were not a fearless person in 2011 then you became one......the same goes for people in the present, there's people in need, in need to feel hugged, to feel understood, to feel value again, that's what she's doing, she's showing how she overcame things and how people can do it.

She taught you how to be fearless. Now, she's teaching others to be the same.

 this so much.

I'm really SICK about "fans· ALWAYS finding a reason to complain. I believe if she had won the oscar and the grammy, we would have topics like "ARE GAGA OVERAWARDING HERSELF?" "IS THE GP TIRED OF GAGA WINNING AWARDS??" "IS GAGA SUCCESS DAMAGING LG5?".

I'm exhausted as hell, yeah, Gaga is a downer, GP is not talking about anything else.

I read the original post, ready to comment on how I agreed in a sense because I remember feeling disconnected as a fan during the early stages of the ARTPOP era, but then I started reading some comments from others that made me see the other side of things. I feel a personal connection with Gaga because I feel like she's human. Yeah, she might be one of the biggest pop stars today but I feel like I could call her up, like a best friend would, talk on the phone for hours, hang out and laugh about random things, go to the bar and get drunk, call her up when I'm going through some ish, etc. She choose to let us in during some of her most darkest moments in her life. I want her to get better and I can see her getting better, but not every day is going to be rainbows and unicorns. People just have to understand that. You don't just wake up one day from years of trauma and go, "Okay, I'm over it now." She can talk about it for the next 50 years for all I care. I just want to see her healthy and happy in the long run. I thought she was fierce and strong during previous eras, I can't WAIT to see the real confidence she'll have on the next album and years to come.

She was covering everything up because she was immensely afraid of people knowing that she actually has weaknesses. Keyword: SEEMED so happy.

But if y'all want her to go back to covering everything up and wearing a mask of happiness instead of being true to her life story, just to make you all happy, even though it's not real and probably makes her more depressed inside to do, then that's really cool

I can't believe some fans are so ****ing entitled, to the point where they think Gaga basically owe them to be happy all the time. :saladga:

Y'all are downers. Everything is SO negative here.

We're supposed to stand by her and care about her as a person. Your stan cards are all revoked.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

For longevity in modern pop culture, vulnerability is an important element.

Gaga knows that by showing her struggles she can relate and connect more deeply to the audience. Unfortunately, it means that sometimes it can come off as showcasing her humanity.

bingo i think this is it

She seems happier and in a better place mentally than ever before, so as far as I'm concerned she can talk about whatever she wants :green: I mean she's not a robot who you can reprogram to give more satisfactory interviews, she's human, and like it or not she's going to talk about what she wants to talk about.

People keep asking her is why lol What else are they going to ask when she has no new music coming for the foreseeable future?

There are other things to worry about than worrying how much Gaga "cries on Snapchat." I honestly think she was crying because she was so emotionally attached to Bowie's music. Not because she was depressed.

She cried because of an italian tradition. It's explained on page 2 of this thread :)
