I've noticed that some fans just don't want Gaga to make dance music on this record. They say they're tired of the sound, the market for it is dead, it won't show off vocals properly. Some are even pushing for her to have a mostly ballad album, rock, metal, etc rather than her traditional genre of dance pop. I don't really like that TBH. I've always enjoyed (and I suppose the GP agrees) Gaga's dance music whether it's dark, upbeat, down tempo, etc. That's the kind of music that lured me into buying a stan card and joining this cult site after all but I also think that's the kind of music that the GP and fans expect from her. But more and more, I get the feeling a lot of fans are pushing away from the things that make Gaga "Gaga". (The outfits, the songs, the performances). I dunno, are the fans who love her dance music and hope she releases an album that encompasses mostly dance pop mixed with several different musical influences (punk, R&B, disco, funk, rock) a minority now? I will support her choice nevertheless. True but I also think fans sometimes forget that her music taste was also pop music as well. She loves her rock, jazz, metal, etc. but she also loved pop too. You mentioned your disdain for machine sounds, but I have to admit that I have recently really gotten into "PC music" which doesn't use any "real," or traditional, instruments and I would absolutely die if Gaga dabbled in that genre. If anyone is interested to know what PC music sounds like look-up anything by the producer SOPHIE, he's one of my favorites. He recently produced Charli XCX's new EP Vroom Vroom which is PC-music-meets-pop perfection definitely check it out.
